Ronnie Wilson- supposedly from the State Investigators Department said I have an arrest warrant and needed to send money before the case was "downloaded" to the state court. When I called the number, a man with an Indian accent answered with a Hello? I asked who I was speaking with , he was quiet for about 10 seconds then said "uh...Ronnie Wilson state investigator's department. I asked if it was common practice to answer an official phone line with "hello", he didn't answer. I said you don't sound like a Ronnie Wilson either, he hung up.

Ronnie Wilson saying he had an arrest warrant out for me and I had to send him money if I wanted it stopped. SCAM!  Strong Indian accent

This is a common "phantom debt collection scam".   Criminal gangs in India or Indonesia purchase information from online payday lenders, and then attempt to scare the victim with false warrants and other tactics.

I got an email from a Ronnie Wilson, said I had to call this number 949-873-7317, and that they had an arrest warrant out for me.  When the guy answered the phone, I stated that I had received an email with a message to call this number.  I then told this yahoo that answered the phone that if this was a true court document that number one-it would have been served to me by an official from the courts, and number two-that anybody answering the phone from a court office would not have and Indian accent so thick that you could not understand what they were saying.  Needless to say, that jerk hung up.

I just got am email from Ronnie Wilson with a picture of an attached arrest warrant is this a scam?
