Some one (who I can not even understand) called and asked if i had a lawyer and it was a legal matter. I received a call similar to this a few weeks ago and they said that were going to arrest me at my work. I told him it was a bogus phone call and hung up on him. He called back numerous times and I did not answer.

these people need to be stopped now! there is no excuse for this type of behaviour.

on June 29 2012 i got another phone call at my job a week later from the 22nd of June from this number 951-389-0292 asking for me i said may i ask who's speaking he told me his name was Ronnie Cooper i asked him can take a message what is this in regards to he would not tell me than he proceeded to read off my social security number and said if i do not call back in 15 minutes i will be arrested at my home tomorrow thank you good bye. scary how these people got my social i am taking this further legally much help from others would be appreciated to stop these losers and put them in jail where they belong.

I have also received calls from the same number. Continuously. This man is claiming to be Jack Smith and again claims if I do not call them I am going to be arrested and yes he reads off my social as well. I am tired of this. The calls do not stop. He calls several times a day on my work and my cell phone. I would love to help in making this stop. Any advice would be helpful.

I have just got the same call from 951-389-0292 has my social security no. The call is coming from Hemet, CA. Riverside-San Bernardino Area. I called the police in Hemet and was told to file a report here in Dayton, TN.

I received a phone call this morning on the 4th of July and a guy with an accent request to speak with me and says he was a lawyer and that it is legal action against my name and a lawsuit is being filed against me and has my social security number. The call came to my cell phone from Anza, CA 951-389-0292. I hung up the phone, the person calls back and I rejected the call and the guy called back again and left a message.. The message stated "That I need to call back or I will be behind the bar tomorrow, investigator Damon. I called the number to get additional info about the company, I was told that it was the Attorney Generals Office of CA. I was asked for my name and the guy told me that he had my case and I asked what it was in reference to, the person kept saying he has my case in front of him and I continued to asked what it was in reference and then the guy says if you keep interrupting me I will hang up on you. I proceed to tell him to get to the point and then he hangs up. ******IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT THIS COMPANY PLEASE COMMENT******THANKS.

ive been getting the same calls telling me i owe 500 to a loan place and ive never taken a loan out. he proceeded to tell me that he was sending a sheriff to my home tomorrow but if i paid the loan back he would take no further action. i too tried to get more info only to get the run around and hung up on. i believe this man is a scammer and would love to help stop him.

This number also called our home on July 7,2012. They stated that my husband was being sued but would not say as to why or what it was reguarding. This same thing happend to my husband a few months ago and we hired an attorney, and they said it was a scam. But during the conversation the man on the other line became aggressive with my husband so my husband had a few choice words for him and hung up. Well I felt terrible for how my husband reacted so when they called back I answered and said I was more understanding than he was if they could talk to me. Well the man called me a B*tch and told me to give my f*cking husband the phone. Still yet I tried to be understanding until I finally told him to get a lawyer because I was going to sue him and his company for phone harrassment. This should not be allowed to happen. I hope we are able to do something about this.

I received a simlar call  from 951-389-0292 from Ronnie Cooper.stating I was going to be sued and the police will be coming to my home on 7/9/12 to arrest me and I will not receive my retirement benefits for Aug. and September.They also had my SSN.  I am reporting this to the BBB

Just got a call from  951-389-0292 claiming that he is with a law firm and I stopped him told him I do not interact with collections that have not first contacted me by mail. If you can get my cell then you can get my mailing address.

I just got a call from this dude that didn't speak good English that started shooting off my information .. Then threatened to send police to my job? Never would give me info. The conversation got heated so I hung up . When I called back to see if i could talk to someone else he hung up very wierd and scary ...

I received a voicemail on July 4th from a guy saying his name was John Morris (with a thick Indian accent) and saying to call him back or "he could only wish me luck as the sitation unfolded upon me". His voicemail made abosolutley no sense with incomplete sentences and partially formed thoughts, but he read off my email address so I decided to call back. When I called back now his name was John Anderson. He proceeded to tell me that he was an attorney at a law firm in CA and that a "law suit was being filed in my name" he read off a list of charges against me and said that the FBI would be at my job on the 5th to arrest me. When I asked what this was about he said it was about a loan that I had taken out and didn't pay back. I did have a loan but it wasnt due until July 6th and when I stated this he became very angry and said he was going to make my life miserable. Clearly this was a scam but then he proceeded to tell me that they would call my job (he knew where I worked) and tell them i was a criminal and also that they would take money out of my acct (he knew where I banked) so then I got angry. He stated that he could not help me and hoped I was arrested and hung up on me. I called back and he just kept picking up the phone and saying to stop calling him the police were coming for me. I then called him from a different number and now his name was Ronnie, that was all I needed to hear so I just hung up and blocked his number. I then called the place where I had taken out the loan. They confirmed that this was a scam and that they didn't know how he had gotten my information. My loan payment came out of my acct as scheduled on the 6th and while I was still worried that that guy had my info I assumed this was the end of it. But no, just 20 mins ago I got a call from 919-653-0786 (now a # originating from Cary, NC) and another guy with a thick Indian accent tells me (again) that his name is John and has the same B.S story about me not paying my loan (which was paid last Friday). He asks me if I have a lawyer and if I have been briefed on this issue, I say no and pretend that I have no clue what he is talking about so he tells me he is going to "transfer" me to someone to explain why they are calling. He then sits there for a few seconds and obviously just hands the phone to some other idiot who tells me his nme is Sam Taylor calling from Rogers & Donalds law firm (which as far as I can tell doesn't exist) and gives me the same story and reads off the same charges, I listen quietly and then hang up....I expect there will be more calls and perhaps I will have to change my number...but my best advice is if this happens to you, wether you took out a loan or not, is to flag your SSN #, close your bank accts, and just be careful. These people are obviously hacking information from somewhere & fishing for more info and then having the audacity to call and harress their victims.

Have been called, repeatedly, on my cell phone and at work. A man with a very thick foreign accent kept telling me that there are 3 criminal charges against me and asking me to confirm my ss# and call a guy named Ronnie. I tried to give him my attorney's info. ( I work at a law firm! Idiots!) and he would not take it. I hung up on him after giving the info anyway and he called my office back TWO TIMES in a row to harass me and say that he would not stop calling until I called this Ronnie person. So, I called "Ronnie" and he asked for my info. also, I said no and told him that a foreign guy keeps calling me with bogus info wanting me to call him so what did he think he was going to get out of me - THEN the same foreign guy is all of the sudden on the line telling me to - and I quote "suck my d*%k, put my d*$k in your mouth and suck it" NO JOKE! These are criminals and should be arrested! Do not listen to them, CROOKS!!! If any legal action is taken against you, you will be notified by the court, not a phone call!!!!!

July 10, 2012 John Smith called and basically said the same thing as other posts indicated. He claimed to be with the Cailfornia attorney generals office and said I had to call back asap or I would 'be sorry.' He called about 10 times in 15 minutes and only left 2 messages. Called same amount of times July 11, same message- told him attorney tried to call him, he kept hanging up on my attorney. Filing complaint with Colorado BBB and attorney general.

I got the same exact call!! I will never do an online loan again!!! I blocked that number.

How do you report this? A man with a strong indian accent keeps calling my job with names like Alex Cruz and John smith..he's rude and curses out anyone who answer the phone. this needs to stop asasp

I got the same message today and he told me that he work for the Attorney Generals Office of CA and there was three count against me I told him i didn't understand he told me he name was John Anderson and that i would be put in jail on monday. and i would be arrset at work and i told him fine send them today or on sunday then you hung up on me i called back and he would not give me any answers.

I received a call July 13. He name was Ronnie. He told me the same thing as every one else. He said if I paid him money he would drop the charges. He told me to send it through green dot from Walmart. Gave me another number to call him at once I get to Walmart. The number is 2132893789. Which was weird because he calls from another number.

Someone with a heavy accent, with my SSN, called about some charges in LA, Cal, this guy  got this information from somewhere, I now have a block on my bank account and SSN, I am going to get in touch with the California State Attorney office.

I just got off the phone with the FBI, I suggest you do the same, the agency will be looked at, and it will be determined how they were able to get people SSN, phone scam or not, totally illegal, call today.
