I received a call early this evening from a man who said he was calling from the State Attorney's office, gave me the last four of my SS, and said he was advising me of a lawsuit filed against me. He told me I needed to call this number w/ext. #359. demanded my attorney's name. I played along. I told him I would contact my attorney. Due to his level of "un-professionalism", I kept him talking. He first said that he needed my attorney's name and number, and then said that I need to call this number, and then moved to he could not give me any information and that I would need to get it from my attorney.

I received the same message. I told him (Mike Johnson) he wasn't even from the same state that I live in, how could he be calling from my State Attorney's office? He told me I had to hang up and call this number and ask for Alex his State Attorney. i stated to him it was the same number he was calling me from, why could he not just transfer me. He came up with a lame reason and I hung up. This is the same person that called me last week informing me of a grant for $7500, told me to call another number and they asked for a wire transfer of $270 before they could release the funds. I have asked them to remove me from their call list and he then threatens me that someone will come to my workplace to arrest me the next day, then reads off my home address and work address.

I just received a call from this number informing me there is a lawsuit against me and asking me for my lawyer's phone number. This was a very bad connection with a lot of echo and I was speaking with someone with a heavy Indian accent.   I refused to comply and was told that no information could be released to me, only my lawyer, but i could call Damon Marshall, the caller's senior officer, at 951-468-0081 for more information, but I had to call immediatley.  I googled the number and saw many other similar complaints and reports so I blocked the number.   But I would like to report it.

I have been recieving harrassing phone calls at home and work from a Mr. Albert Brown who was supposed to be from the California States Attorneys office. He first called my work. Which was  a little suspicious...have only been there a few months. He had claimed at first I owed money for a grant. Then it  changed to an online loan from Cashland USA. Never in my life took a loan out, especially not online. Then he precided to tell me that he was sending the sheriffs to my work to arrest me and i would lose my job and spend time in jail. I live clear across the country. He was very rude and ignorant and I would like to know what action I can take against whoever this is.  Oh he also said he was sending sheriffs from yet another state. I looked up the California States Attorneys office for San Fransico, called them and they had no clue who this guy was.  He had a very Indian accent. Very tempted to call back and give him a piece of my mind,,,

Recieved a call & a voicemail from this number. I called back & after several tries finally got an answer a week later. A guy with a heavy Indian accent told me he needed my attorney's information & when I asked what it was regarding he did not give me an answer. Instead he said "So you have no idea that you have criminal charges against you?" I told him, "Obviously not, genius. That's why I'm inquiring. So give me the information now so that I can tell you nnot to call my phone anymore." He said, "You're a f---ing piece of s---!" & hung up. SCAM!

Received a phone call today on my mobile phone while I was at work, so it went to my voice mail A message about how urgent it was to contact Robert back or urgently with my Lawyer Office Name & Phone# & if not  paperwork would be process as a case against me. When I did call back I spoke to Mr. Alex Cooper, he informed me that he was calling for the California Attorney's Office about a complaint filed against me for an online USA Paday Loan which had not been paid. He verified my last 4 of SS#, an old home address & place of work that was about 3 years old. He said that this Loan was done with an email address I used about 3 years ago.  As I tried to talk or over-talk to this rude person, he hung up on me. I continued to call back until I could got a hold of him. He kept insisting that he was going to send the Sherrif's Office to come pick me up, take me to court & I couldn't pay, I may go to jail & may loose my Job. I finally convinced him that I wanted to resolve the issue at any cost without having to go to court. He said that I owed his client the money if it went to court it would be $3,200. He then said that he would talk to his client to see if we could get this matter resolved. After being on Hold for 10 minutes, he came back & said that I could resolve this & only had one hour to do it. I must go to a Walgreens Drug Store or CVS & BUY a Bill Pay Coupon which would cost me an additional $4.00 for the amount owed. (Must be like a $ order or something) To call him back & he would tell me what to do from there. When I asked him for his address, he said to keep my money & that he would send the Sherrif's Office to pick me up & hung up. When I called back, he said not to call him, that he would send the Sherrif's Office to pick me up & take me away to court. 5 min. later, I get a call on my cell phone with a 911 # who said he was the Sherrif & wanted my location so he could come & get me. (It sounded like Mr. Alex Cooper) changing his voice to sound British - when originally he sounded Indian or Phillipino) I also changed my voice to play along & told him I was trying to resolve the issue, but that he hung up on me. He said that for me to call him back & he would listen to me. He said that he would call Mr Alex Cooper & tell him to take my call. I did not call, but within 5 minutes Mr. Alex Cooper called me back & wanted me to continue with the Bill Pay Coupon from a drug store. While all this was happening I looked up this website, read him all the complaints against him & told him that he sounded like a FRAUD or SCAM. He Hung up, I called him back & said that someone got his number & made a reports of him. He still would not give me any information. Still researching this guy...but the # seem to goto iydllewood, Calif : Information of this number on the internet if you google it, you will find: is located in Idyllwild, California.

Its exchange 468 is managed by SPRINT COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY,.

The number is currently on switch number SHOKCA02HMD (switch is a technical specification for phone hobbyists) .

Around 50% of people reported it as "Scammer"

I was the 3rd person to search for it here. The number has a total of 2 complaints filed against it.

Yeah I received the same exact phone calls from mr. Alex cooper stating that there is suit against me from a payday loan for 3,000 dollars which I never received. There was also a Garcia and a joe brown that have called and threatened me saying they work wit mr.cooper and if I didn't transfer money I was going to be arrested! I called back several time but no answer or I kept getting hung up on! Finally got him on the phone to ask him for the supposed case number that he had against me, he then proceeded to call me a piece of crap and a moron! After reading this website I just called him back and told him that I see all the scam complaints he has! He then hung up! Total SCAM!!!

Same message here.  I tried to call him back, got a beep, then nothing.  I am going to give him my attorney's phone number.  Maybe he will call my attorney and then there will be some way to do something?  *crosses fingers*

I had the same call twice...call back no answer just a beep..threatened to have a sherrif come arrest me...I am in Pennsylvania I called local police and Harrisburg state attorney office ..they assure me its a scam and did the right thing by not giving my ss number

I JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM A MAN WITH A VERY HEAVY ACCENT.  HE SAID I OWED CASH USA MONEY AND HE WAS SENDING A SHERIFF TO MY JOB TO ARREST ME.  HE SAID I WAS GOING TO LOSE MY JOB AND SPENT TIME BEHIND BAR(NOT BARS).  I TOLD HIM TO GO TO H-- ! WANT TO RPORT HIM.

A male with a very heavy accent, using a variety of names, has been calling and leaving messages on our voice mail, asking for an employee who has not worked with us for quite a few years, threatening the employee with lawsuits, sheriff, says the'll pick him up at work and take him to jail, you name it.   The return phone number the caller uses is 951 468-0081.  Sometimes the messages says he's from New York, either the police department or the attorney general's office.

We realize this is a scam and ignore the calls and erase the messages.  However, someone needs to do something to stop the intimidation and  threats that are being made.

I was told by a man who didn't give his name that I will be arrested today in front of my residence because there is a lawsuit against me, he even provided the last 4 numbers of my SS. I told him that this is harassment and I hang up

These clowns keep calling my job and I am getting really sick of it.  My boss doesn't care- I already showed him that its a scam based on all of these posts.  Anyone know what we can do to stop these idiots?!

I got a phone call in 2012, April to be exact same story as everyone else, right down to the Middle Eastern accent, I told Alex Cooper/Maxwell/James Bond(yes he said that's his name) then to go to hell. Called me twice in the last three days, 2/27 and 2/28/13. So, I said two can play this game. I took his phone call, and endulged him. Then I informed him who I was, that he tried this last year and that he could go to hell again. Well today, 2/28/2013, he called again. I endulged him again. Then I turned the tables, I began asking him questions, what did this pertain too, and that I knew this was a scam, and that there is an entire web page devoted to him, and his scam, blah, blah, blah.  He asked me what I did for work after calling me a piece of $hit...I told him, I got paid to sleep with his mom and his sisters, and his wife if indeed he had one, and it really wasn't worth the money banging w***es. He hung up on me. So, in keeping this alive, I blocked my number called him back, and addressed myself as myself..lol. And reminded him that I was on to his scheme. His reply was, "I threaten people to make my money, and I make $10,0000 a month with 70 plus guards..good luck coming after me." I told him that I would be notifying law enforcement regardless, and that he should really get that camel [***] out of his mouth, and that he would have better luck having a**l sex with his 70 guards than ever getting me to fall privy to his scam. He hung up on me again..and so now, I've been calling him every hour, and hanging up on him just to be problematic...lol.

Bottom line here is....these people live off of people's fear. If you all show that you don't give a s***, and tell him how it is, they'll back down. Because they know they can't get you. Just play the game and laugh....

I just received a call at work from a Michael Johnson. That I needed to contact his Attorney Alex Cooper. But the call had some kind of echo. I have no idea whom this person is nor what he is talking about. He said something about my Social Security #, about it being a fraud. But did not give me no more information.
