This number left me a message about how me or my attorney should call him before a terrible situation befalls me. He didnt even say what business he was representing. Anybody else get this?

They just called me it has to be a scam

This is a number that is connected to a scam from India they call and threaten you with criminal charges and wage garnishment. They have your information because it was sold to them  by cash advance companies. If you have or a family has opened an account and used your name they have everything making it more believable. Do Not send money or a pre paid card for these people it is a scam!

They just called me, said I have to pay $445 by 5:00 today or the sherrif will come and arrest me and take me to California to stand charges. When my boss got on the phone and started questioning him and asked him to fax over docket number and all pertinent info, THEY HUNG UP??

Same thing, (Indian accent) guy calls saying there are three criminal charges and a suit pending against me and gives me a number to call. Calls BACK fifteen minutes later asking if I had called that number .. he gets MAD when I tell him no .. tells me I'm not taking it seriously, then says he will send someone to subpoena me (and names the company I work for) and says I will be forced to appear in court in Los Angeles county! He says 'its obvious you are not taking this seriously so I will see you in court, thank you and goodbye'!!!! What the hell!!

Looks like they are on a roll today! Just told me a similar story ...

I just got the same call, i told him he had the wrong number and she said i'm sorry to have bothered you disregard my voicemails. I called the number back to see who the company was but it doesn't even ring just beeps and hangs up. Totally a SCAM!!!!

I did, and the man is crazy he says a different name every time I call him and I told he I was going to file harassment charges because he is calling my job and my cell phone all day, he told me he was going to file charges against me, he said the police is coming to get me now.  I told him I already read on the internet that this is a scam and he said I'm going to place a complaint on the internet with your number and say you are a scam I am going to press charges against you because your are a scam.  ? The man is crazy block the number if you can.

A man with an accent called me today saying he wanted my attorney's number because there has been a case filed against me in superior court of LA county. He would not say what type of case and said he did not have the case number or the party's name who was suing me. He said he was working for attorney Russell Miller and started to give me the number but hung up before he finished. I called the number back to ask for the number but a different person answered and said they could not give out any numbers. He proceeded to tell me not to call this number anymore.  
I recently filed bankruptcy and maybe this is how he knew I have an attorney.

I have been up all night very upset by the conversation I had with this man.  He called me twice and said that I needed to call him back immediately or he would assume he would take care of the situation.  When I finally got a hold of him he told me I had three accounts against me on a payday loan that was taken and never paid back.  He told me the sheriff would be at my house on Wednesday and that on Thursday I would be arrested and taken to California to appear in court.  He told me to pay 3400 or face the legal consequences.  Needless to say I debated for a second and then he told me it was nice doing business and hung up the phone.  (Scam)!!!

I had three outstanding charges from cash advance and i owed them money instead of contacting me they just were taking it to court, I am suppost to be arrested three hours from the time that i called them back. I called them back after talking to them again and got no answer, this man was getting really mad at me when i told him that i never got money from the company and then he said he had proof and that i was going to be aressted at my work place if i didn't take care of the matter.  said they were calling from a law firm but never stated what law firm

A guy also called me and left me a voice mail. I could barely understand his accent and the message was cutting out badly. But what I got was that the message was time sensitive and not to disregard the message and if I do All he can say is god bless me because the consequences will be terrible. I called the number and all it said was "voice mail full"   WHATEVER!! SCAM!!

I received a call on my cell # from 951-489-0226 saying criminal charges had been placed against me in Los Angeles and for me to call an attorney named David Cooper who was handling my case. They didn't give me any other information.   When I called the number they gave me (951-489-0225) it answered and immediately hung up. I tried 3 times.  I think this is a scam!

This guy just called me saying that "whatever events unfold on you is on you from this point out" if I didn't call him back. I called back and it said "voicemail full." This guy has called from another number before. You guys need to contact your local sheriff and have them trace the number. This is highly illegal. I'm having a case started on Tuesday for this. Its a scam. DO NOT PAY THIS MAN MONEY.

Haha guy called me a bit ago and told me the exact same thing "If you do not respond all i can do is wish you luck on your journey" [***]!!

This phone number called me as well. Said that I or my attorney had better call them back right away or good luck with what would happen to me next. So I called back and I guess somebody goofed when they thought they had put me on hold, because I could still hear what was going on in the background. It definitely sounded like some kind of boiler room operation. Then I got hung up on. So I called back again, this time I got some person, who sounded like he was from India. I told him I was returning his call, and he asked me for my phone number. I gave him my name and told him that they had just called me and should know my phone number, so he hung up on me.

WAIT TILL THIS GUY CALLS ME BACK IM GONA GET HIM SO EXCITED AND SAY THAT IM ABOUT TO GO TO WESTERN UNION AND GIVE HIM WHAT EVER HE WANTS THEN CALL EVERY 10 MINS ACTING LIKE A NEW PERSON LMAO THIS IS GONA BE FUN

This is a complete scam.  I went to the police with this number in addition to another number. According to my local police department the FBI is investigating. Bothers me they have my work number and harass me there.

I recvd this message on Monday morning labor day weekend from one of these [***]...I'm so [***] pist they scared the [***] out of me..They said I took out some money and never paid them back...I nearly [***] my pants, and requested to speak to a supervisor they hung up...This totally ruined my holiday bbq plans-thought for a second I was going to get arrested or something or a victim of fraud...After reading such posts came to realize I was a victim of fraud...

I'm gettting the same calls at home and work.. I just answer the phone and then set it down... Gets them so annoyed they won't call back at least for the day.  I had another calling me and I told him I had looked him up on the internet.. I told him I wanted his physical address because I was reporting him the FBI Fraud Dept.  Take their names and numbers and get a physical address.. You can file a report against them but usually at the point when they think you are really going report them... They quit calling.
