This is a cell phone in Corona California.  I don't know anybody there so assume it is a telemarketer.  I Googled the number and it is some group trying to sell trips.

This number comes up on my phone everyday but when I answer no one is there.

we have been getting calls from this number several times a day for the last few months.

we feel harassed and fear for our safety. Does anyone know how to stop these calls.

Also, how did they get our phone number?

i've been getting calls from this number as well ... 3 times in the last 3 days. unless your phone number is unlisted, it's public knowledge ... and i'm sure they have ways of getting the unlisted numbers as well.  here in canada we have a "do not call" list which is supposed to cover telemarketers from the states as well as canada ... but ever since i added my number to the list the number of calls i get from the states has increased.  frustrating.

i called the number back as sometimes you get the chance to remove yourself from the list through an automated sequence. however an answering machine kicks in with a person stating they hacked their answering message and placed this one stating whomever is using this number is part of a scam and not to divulge any personal info if you should answer.

They get your number by going through a sequence of numbers. Example, if your area code is 915, with an automated dialing system, they will start off with 222-1111 and then 222-1112, 222-1113 and on and on and on. Eventually they will ring your number, unlisted or not.

Just got a call from them. I did not answer.. I had no idea where the area code was from. Probably an auto dialer. I don't need these people bothering me.
They are now on block

Caller said I won a trip to Cancun, Mexico and Orlando, Florida. Caller asked me to press 1 to claim my winnings. I just hung up.

Called here at 5pm AST.  No one there at first...was going to hang up then a recording came on that said something about winning a trip to Cancun, so I hung up.

Just had a call from the above number it was a automated msg saying that i "won" a free trip to cancuun mexico...(LUCKY ME!!!) so i listened to the msg and pressed 1 as i was directed to (I was gonna have some fun with this guy) but nobody picked up :( (spoiled my fun) ah well guess ill just have to wait till the next time they call ... (evil laughter)

Call is from Riverside area, in California.  Note: received a call from (the number listed above) 951-545-5076 back on Jan 30, 2010 @ 4:43 p.m. area code and last four digits the same But the exchange number was different 545 not 540.Caller (automated) said I won a cruise.  I selected the "delete from call" option. Subsequently got calls from area code 951 exchange 540

Just got a call from them and it was about credit card debt and being that I don't even own a credit card, I did the press 1 to speak with a live person and did get someone, but as soon as I told the guy to remove me from his list he hung up on me! I called back and got this recorded message, "The person you have called is unavailable right now, please try again later." Seriously, what is up with these people?!?

Just got a call from this number. Ignored it. They did not leave a message.

The calls for me state that I can save on my credit card interest rate. The call is identified as originating in Corona CA. I too have the option of pushing "1". Not sure who the company was, sorry. I will watch my language but, *&%#ing pieces of $^%#.

Got a call from this number on my company provided cell phone, I let it go to Voicemail. Voicemail is a recorded message about lowering interest rates.

I'm sorry I missed your call, please return the call.

Answered the phone ;received automated message claiming to help lower my interest  rate on my credit card. I pressed one the phone disconnected.
