- just meWoman with strong accent said she was "customer service" calling about the copier. She said they are going to send out a new manual and updated information. She asked for the model number and I told her if she was from our copier company they would know the model number.
This has been going on for years.
How can these poor people live with themselves?- Caller: Unknown
- DebraSame here - exactly. Years ago they used to call with a different excuse, but with the same tag line, " can you just give me the model # on the front of your copier?". It used to annoy the hell out of me, then I decided to have some fun and proceeded to make up some long winded phoney number#. You should've heard the confused responses I used to get. I got a phone call today about sending a new manual and when she asked for the model # I said, "oh sure, hold on a minute" and promptly hung up! Laughter is good medicine!!
