- IanI keep getting calls from this number, leaving 2 minute voice mails. The person that is calling me is named "Stuart." He speaks very poor English. I can barely understand anything besides a few key words. He says to have my attorney contact him and it is a time sensitive matter and I will be sorry if I don't call them back. I am sure it as a scam but it got me scared at first.
- Erika fullerI am being called by this number and he said it was a time sensitive matter and that if I or my attorney didn't call back. I would be sorry. What scares me is if these people really have my social security number.
- Caller: Anderson ? Associates
- Patti| 1 replyGot a call at work like everybody else. But they couldn't tell me what lawsuit was. The call came from another number telling me to call 951-821-8857 and ask for Damon Marshall. Googled his name and other scam alerts came up.

- scaredThis number has called me too and i just kept letting my answering machine get it i finally answered and it was a man asking for my husband then i said he wasnt here then he kept asking me if i was drunk and he knew there was a bottle of wine sitting next to me
- PamI received a call from these people tonight. I could not understand the person's name because of the very strong accent. He said that I had 3 criminal charges against me and my social security number ending in the last 4 digits and he was able to name them off which is totally scary now since this is a scam. He knew other personal info also. I kept telling him that I could hardly understand him and asked if there was someone else there that I could speak with, he asked me "are you drinking tonight"? he said that the cops would be here to get me in the morning and he was sure that they would speak English. I did understand enough to make that out and the phone number out to Mr. Marshall, which I dialed numerous times and never got a answer. I went to whitepages.com and did a reverse phone look up and it said that it was from Sunnyvale California, and I just don't know anyone from Sunnyvale Ca that would file criminal charges against me. This has me very concerned now.
- SeanSame claim to be an attorneys office. The guy that left the message yesterday said hoods name was Stuart. As with so many others, he had broken English and thought my name was Dan. Today, I called the number amd asked who it was and some guy said it was Stuart from an attorneys office asking for Dan. I said you have the wrong number. Then he said" sorry mother f@#!$&, no one will call your number again," and hung up real quick.
- Caller: Damon Marshall, attorneys office

He said there is a civil lawsuit against me and I need to call his supervising attorney at 951-821-8857. I have said mean things back to them and this guy just LOVES it!!! He wont leave me alone. California Man Previously Sued by FTC Is Indicted on Criminal Charges for Phony Debt Collection Scam
A federal grand jury has charged a Tracy, California-based man with 21 criminal counts of wire fraud and mail fraud for a fake debt collection scheme. The Federal Trade Commission previously filed civil charges against the man, Kirit Patel, and two companies he controlled, Broadway Global Master Inc. and In-Arabia Solutions Inc.
The grand jury indictment alleges that on 21 occasions between January 2011 and March 2012, Patel sent e-mails, wire transfers, and mail as part of his efforts to defraud consumers.
The criminal case, announced last week by U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California Benjamin B. Wagner, followed a civil lawsuit filed by the FTC in April 2012. The FTC alleged that Patel and his two companies fraudulently collected more than $5.2 million from consumers for debts that they either didn't owe to the defendants or didn't owe at all, as part of a scheme that involved more than 2.7 million phone calls to at least 600,000 phone numbers. The agency obtained a court order to halt the scheme pending trial. Many of the individuals targeted by the scam were strapped for cash and thought the money they were paying would be applied to loans they owed, according to the FTC.
The FTC’s Criminal Liaison Unit, a special branch set up to ensure that appropriate consumer scams are referred for criminal prosecution, referred the case to the Department of Justice and the Secret Service. The FTC would like to thank both agencies for following up on this matter.
