They said it was the Riverside County Courthouse, but when I tried to call back it said that this was not a valid number.

I received 2 calls from this # and no one on the other end when I answered....tried calling it back, says number disconected or not in service????

Call my cell phone say person with cell number has a pending matter before Riverside County and can pay at some web address that I have not been able to write done but is somethin like dwepay.com

this number is a generic number for the county of riverside that shows up on caller ID. I recieved a call the other day from Child Support and this number showed up on caller ID. Today I recieved a call for a job interview and the same number showed up. The whole county of riverside uses these numbers to protect themselves from call backs. When my mom worked for DCSS in riverside county this number would also show up when she called me from a work phone.

Hello. I just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. It is a recorded message. I got worried when it said it was from the Riv Superior Court, but when it gave me a weird number and a strange website, I knew it was a scam. To calm myself, I googled info about this number. Thanks to all your comments, I get to learn more about this and to take care of myself. Apparently, these people have used this particular number for multiple purposes: identity theft and money for instance. Even though I know that not everyone bothers to write and tell about this issue, I noticed that the comments are posted in between small gap of time. Now, I don't understand why the real Riverside County Sheriff or any officer hasn't taken any action to stop this annoying people from calling us, the victims. Again, thank you all for informing me.

PS: Actually, this is the third website that I have checked on. I am just repeating my words here, trying to spread them and to create awareness.

Fallen Star is right. I work for the county of Riverside.  All our phones go through a trunk line and show up on caller ID's as 955-0000.  However, there are many dirt bags out there who know this and will take advantage to commit identity theft.  

If the caller did not leave a call back number then dont worry about it.  If they want to speak to you taht bad, they will call back or leave a number.

This number has shown on my phone a few times.  When I googles the number it showed Riverside County Sherriffs, but was actually the WIC office calling me.

I keep receiving these calls too. They are annoying and don't even bother leaving a call-back number and don't even bother to be human when they call. It's a trunkated number, this I know yes, but it's annoying and needs to stop. Thank you for posting where these calls are coming from. Sometimes they say DCSS too, but I don't owe child support for crying out loud.

Got message (missed call). Said D'Day its Richard from Renovation boys just calling about web order you placed with us.  Our system. Its under a quotation.  Just wanna go out or not. PLease call me 951955.  Obviously didn't try to call back based on obviolsy non legit number but I did recently place an on line order with Renovation boys, hmm someones monitoring web sites

May have already been explained by another one familiar with the county's trunking or microwave system, but each area of the county has a generic trunk or microwave number that shows up on caller ID when a call is made using the county phone system.   This system is a way that the county saves money.  The call is placed to a local server/switch, that is in-turn forwarded through a microwave system which allows them to make long distance calls at a local call cost.  If you consider the size of the county, number of calls made each day by county government, you can understand how this would save significant money.  The number you see (for example 951-955-0000) is the generic trunk number for all calls generating out of the Riverside area under the county phone system.  The reason you get no answer when you call back is because you are calling a server or phone switch - not a person.  Some of you who have received calls for job interviews, etc., these are valid calls.   County HR uses this trunking system.  You should be asking for (and they should be leaving) the actual call back numbers and you should not be relying on what is left on your caller ID.  951-955-000 will show up for any county agency in the Riverside area when using the county phone system.  This generic number is not unique to any one Department....

I just received a number for this the website is epay-it.com. Its for traffic tickets and citations in the state of California. I have not been in California. I assume its a scam. Number is also disconnect/not in service when I call back. This is the 3rd time they have called me in the last two weeks.

the message was for me to call a number or go to the web site "www.epayit.com" a riverside so called court house to pay a bill of some sort. It said I have an unpaid matter to resolve. I didn
t have a chance to write down the phone number to callbut I did go to the web site and also googled scam for epay it. Appears so.

Just received a call on my cell number from this number it is a computer message got half of the message asking to pay at epayit.com for a pending matter
I checked the site it is fake
It is a SCAM

Just got a call crom them and its a scam of some kind; said i can referance my cell number with calling back a number (877.955.8463) or i could handle this matter at www.epayit.com. Either way its all a bunch of ,rap

Thanks to for all the comments, i just got a call from that same number just 5 minutes ago. Usually any number i don't recognized i don't answer but i did this. I got the same message and it sounded as if the message was being recorded through a speaker phone. Thanks to apps now and days The Current Caller ID App gave me a name and location of where the number cam from... Now it can be a genric name and location but based off this i highly doubt it... The Name that came up was Edward M Soto and the location was in Whitter.

I have gotten a phone call every day from this phone number about having to pay for something i donot understand what for or why they are calling me i just turned 18 on the 10 th of may and i do not drive or have anything i need to pay for i am becoming very upset that i keep recieving these calls every single day  i want it to stop

A recorded message wanted me to go to www.Epay-it.com or call a number. But I don't live in their counties.
I got my number in just 2 months, I think they tried to contact with last owner of my number.
