United Collection Bureau (also known as UCB) is headquartered in Toledo, OH, and has been offering debt collection services since 1959. I'm in the process of filing bankruptcy, and have gotten the debt collectors who harassed me for 2 years to stop calling. Then, seemingly at random, a Florida-based number called my boyfriend's phone and demanded to know where I am, what my phone number is, etc etc. He's not used to dealing with things like that, so it really shook him up. My question is... Does that violate the Fair Debt Collection Act?
