Gentleman called from this number asking for the Owner/CEO's name. I asked what it was regarding and he siad he was with "Today In America" and our company might be chosen for a story regarding manufacturing businesses in America? I don't know if it is legit or just looking to get names?

we received a call from Bill Bunn same thing....wanted 20K to be on his show.

Guy calls here at least 3x a month...pay money to be on their show which is played on business channels in hotel rooms...just a marketing scam

"Today in America" wanting to put us in their business show. A few years ago we returned a call like this. They just charge you to be in their footage... not worth the time.

They first contacted me that their producer was considering us for a business program on Fox News.

The Show is called Business Day with Terry Bradshaw (http://businessdaytv.com/) formerly know as "Today in America".

After a call with the producer it turns out they expect $19,000 for a 5 minute video on our company, which will be aired on the Saturday on Fox News and regional stations. It is just a paid TV advertorial.

I got a call with the same pitch - pay 20k and get on air. It was odd since true journalism does not ask for money in return for a legit story. Anyways, once I started to do more research on ww.businessdaytv.com it was obvious that I passed on this infomercial opportunity.

Thanks for the background on these folks - we got the same call today and checked here to see if it was legitimate or not.  Thanks so much for helping us avoid a slimy sales pitch.

Same thing here. Received the call and interview, and after performing some DD on the company realized it was also illegitimate. Simply calling their phone number back just leads to a voice machine that doesn't go anywhere except repeat messages of what sounds like a poorly copied version of the real thing.

And Whois isn't very helpful either.

Today in america with terry bradshaw calls our company trying to speak to our ceo at least once per month. We also found out that their real name is platinum television group. Google that name andyou will find out all about them and the florida attorney general case.

Same here. It is a scam. They will give you 20 minute pitch and drop the name of a D-list celeb who is hosting  a show that amazingly is in your vertical. No cost to be included but...wait for it....you have to pay to place the show on cable stations....$20k.

Save yourself 20 minutes and $20k and do not answer calls from them.
