Got a letter re promotional offer of New 7" Tablet and asking to call 954 449 9208.

I received the same letter.
Funny it says that I (they have my name correct) have been awarded a new 7" Tablet...., but one of the  restrictions is that I have to be employed full time.

It is probably a Time-share deal.

I got the something. I'm not calling them!

Got a 'Final Notice' - saying that I have a promotional item waiting for me : the 7' tablet.
This is sponsored by 'Direct Buy of Broward County' - I'm NOT going to call but I'm wandering how can nobody investigate this kind of companies ?

Got an offer back in Spring; called but busy and did not call back! now got a new offer, same as Mack; will trash that paper! but had to check who had that number!

The problem I have with this letter is that it does not have a company name. There is no way of tracing it... I feel this is a scam. I will not call them.

Got the same offer 7" tablet and $100 restaurant treat. Final notice and need to call this number.

I guess I am on some kinda of list. I did not bother calling the number but it's probably Direct Buy. They have tried different ways to get me into their show room. The last mailing I had they were desperate for me to come, but when I said I could not make their meeting offering, they were completelly inflexible in rescheduling and said I would not be eligible for the offer if I could not make it.  I told them "Great, now stop bothering me".  Well that lasted all of 3 months.

I called the number blocking it so the don't trace it.  Got an answering machine telling me to leave my name and contact number they would then contact me with 15 min.

Thie was for the mail offering a tablet and 100.00 restaurant.

This is a SCAM, they will record your data as a participant and sell that info to anybody that wants to sell you or collect from you...specially creditors and collection agencies. As far as the tablet?..I don't think the risk is worth..

I got this letter as well with the free tablet. After doing some research on:

I found the tech administrator to be Ken Snedecor.
I then found a profile for a Charles Ken Snedecor that lives 5 miles from head quarters on:

From the first link, I scrolled all the way to the bottom and saw related sites. I noticed ucctops.com and ucctops is the server for the email of the tech administrator. I clicked the link and found the website administrator to be Thomas Selby. After searching "Thomas Selby direct buy" in google, it was confirmed he is the administrator of Direct Buy.

After further investigation, A search of  Thomas Selby in Illinois on white pages yielded 4 results.

From the previous search in google it was found he graduated college in 1995 which led to me estimate his age to be around early 40's. This matched one of the results on the white pages website.

Not 100% sure the actual people in charge of Direct Buy are represented in the links are accurate, but if they are, its only right we know their names, addresses, and phone numbers, as do they of ours.

Was going to call just to see what this is about, but after reading all these notes I'm not going to. Not worth it. Thanks people

Got a mailer for Complimentary Orlando Vacation Package for four guests.  Came as a final notice/check.  "Call this number 954-449-9208 with rsvp code"  I won't be calling.  Probably a time share.  Just wanted to share.

Hotel for 4, choice of 3,4,5 nights
$200 pre-paid Visa for attraction tickets in Orlando
$100 Dining card if you respond within 48 hours

Someone has already done the detective work pointing the producers of the bogus check to DB (Direct Buy).  DB is a high pressure sales force that sells memberships to buy furnishings, cabinets, etc for new or remodeling homes.  Their customers have complained of being able to buy the products cheaper on their own.  Just Google "Direct Buy complaints" and be glad you didn't get suckered to call in for your"prize".

Got a letter saying I will receive an Android Touchpad Table Computer from gifting department as well as a complimentary $100 Restaurant Card.

Had to call that number within 7 days as this is a final notice.

Came addressed to be in an envelope with no name but signed as Marc Nadeau of DirectBuy broward county.

Not calling.

Got the same letter as Gigi today saying I would receive an Android Tablet and a complimentary $100 restaurant card.  Funny the letter also states that there had been previous attempts (none received) and this was the final Authentic Gift Delivery Notification.  Letter also signed by Marc Nadeu, Franchise Owner, DirectBuy of Broward.  Of course, I will not be calling.
