they keep calling me and nobody talks...i call back, it is directory assistance in Flordia.

?????/......why would an information line be calling me?......and  NOT speaking.?????..sumpin up sumwhere??????

Keep getting calls from this number. They don't leave a message and when I answer, no one talks and just hangs up.

It's a travel company that is masking their number with 954-555-1212. I missed getting their full company name.  So if anyone out there get, please post the company name so we all can file a complaint with FCC.

just called me, I answer the phone "Howdy" and the guy says well hi Jaclyn, bckground talking, "Hello?"  "Howdy" he hungup. no one can figure out that Howdy means the same thing as Hey, Hi, You, What's up, Hello etc. If you can't figure that out then obviously you don't need to be calling me anyway, b/c you don't know me, and are most likely not someone I want to talk to anyway, who is this? I called it back and Heard a woman voice say "City and state please"  what?

I just got another call and actually picked it up today.  I believe she said their name was Specialtiy Travel Company.  They said that I had a disney vacations with them from over 2 years ago.  Never purchased anything to Disney...they also found me under my married name which I have only had for 4 months.

Keep getting calls from this Number, Today when I picked up, I hit ASTERIX and got a Live person, They asked if I was such and Such and I said YES, She asked again and I Confirmed that I was who she was asking about, Then she HANGS up!!   WTF!!!!  If it is a Collector, Give me some Info, If it is a Free Trip Thing, TELL ME , SO I CAN BE POLITE AND DECLINE!!!!

called me again the other day, I answered, got a woman, and she finally responds to my Howdy...kept yapping about a timeshare, "we don't have a timeshare" I kept saying...and she'd interrupt me and babble some more, like sometime in the last 7 years we took a vacation and I got some points on my timeshare., I handed the phone to my husband, after I said I'm on the donotcall registry we don't have a timeshare how did you get my number.  and He told her the same thing and she interrupted him and babbled some more, Stop calling me, next my phone rings I am SCREAMING and cursing at htem so damn loud they'll think Im standing behind them. It's a timeshare SCAM!

I forgot the part where she asked for me by my maiden name and I said, this is MrsGarcia, than she asked for me by my first name, the last trip we took was Disney last March. we didn't buy a timeshare,a nd she like insisted, no you idiot....

Call came thru new cell phone I got. Didn't answer and they did not leave msg.

just got the same phone number call me and when i return called the person, I too got directory assistance and the person asked "what state please"  then he asked "what city please"............ must be a scam since the initial phone call came to my cell phone which only 2 ppl on the planet have that number.  total scam I think

They are constantly calling me,  I never answer, and I am very cautious because the next thing you know I will have a 20,000.00 cell phone bill that the phone company will insist I pay for a 20 second call.  Do not answer calls from this number - it is a masked number, using a Florida directory assistance number for ID.  I think it is a company called American Travel , which by the way does not exist in reality.  They have sent me bogus award letters and so forth.  Someone needs to start putting these people in prison. I have more creative ideas for a solution, but nothing that I would put online.

As of 6/1/11, my mom has gotten 7 calls from (954)555-1212.  I called the # from work and "411 City and State Please" machine answered.  I got to speak to a Customer Service Rep and told her my mom kept getting calls from this # and her phone bill has been charged $12.35 cents for these calls?  I was pissed and she knew it... she gave me the # for AT&T... who then gave me the # for "Annoyance Call Bureau (800)769-4099" which is opened M-F from 6am to 5pm eastern time.  We've been at it w/ this since February... although ATT keeps waiving the $15 charges... it's starting to get to my last nerve... Better Busines Bureau and the Consumer Fraud Bureau are definetly getting letters and calls from me if this is not resolved...

The number has called me everyday for the past week. I answered and a man tried to tell me I earned $2,000.  After I told him I want interested he told me to eat paint chips with lead in them and die. These people need to be stopped.

I've been getting plenty of calls from (954)555-1212, and today I decided to finally answer. It was a very noisy background, and the guy asked to speak to me (called my first name). When I said, this is she, he hung up.
Not sure of what this was all about, but reading the reviews, I surely hope my cellphone carrier doesn't charge me for this call.

When I received calls from this # on a DAILY basis I called it back.  I got DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE IN FLORIDA.  When I got my local phone bill I noticed that I was charged $1.25 for each of the four times I tried to talk to a person, as it were.
THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT CALL BACK. YOU WILL BE CHARGED.
CALL YOUR PHONE CO. INSTEAD. THEY WILL INVESTIGATE.
BLOCK THE # IF YOU KEEP GETTING THE CALLS.
WRITING ON THIS SITE WILL DO NOTHING.    I'm just sayin........

I'm betting you will be.  Check your bill and let them know if so. They will investigate and maybe cancel the charge.  Bock the #

I get the same thing. 954-555-1212 calls, I pick up...no answer. Then the next time I let it go into voice mail and they never leave a message. Pain in the neck.
