Got automated message on answering machine from Debt collector looking for someone else who has never lived here nor ever had this number - my neighbor one street over, which unfortunately for me has a very similar address.  The recording said it was an "important personal matter" and gave 3 choices, one of which was "if this is the wrong number please press 4" which my wife ended up picking up and pressing 4.  We'll see if that really stops them, debt collectors tend to be absolute morons.

I really wish this number would stop calling my phone. This phone is a private number, so if your looking for someone in specific I am not that person. SO stop calling!!!!!

This company continues to harass both my family in New Jersey and my family here in Arizona.  My son AND my grandson separately signed us up for that federal no call program, and yet they continue to call!  Never mind the fact that we have no debts to anyone!  I hope the IRS audits this dolts.

I've listened to all of the message choices. All are very generic messages. One option says if you are the person, then press '1' to speak with a person. When you press 1, you get an automated message that says "we will call you back". This has to be illegal. You can't even contact someone to dispute that you are the right person? That's ridiculous!

They identify themselves as American Financial Solutions looking for a person who does not live here. The Florida No Call office state that since it is a collection call it is legal, even though that person is not a reseident here. I have spoken to them several times, they acknowledge I am correct, promise not to call again, but the calls go on.

Does anyone have a suggestions how to put a stop to this?

AFS Debt collector for Medical Bills. These people are extremely difficult to get in touch with as the calls are automated and if you press the corresponding menus to talk to a person, the say, we will call back. Probably not a very effective debt collector. If you call them, don't expect to get anyone. I did owe a bill, but it was paid to the original creditor. Apparently they didn't get the memo.
