They call my house consistently, at least 3-7 times a day.  The other day I received 4 phone calls from this number within one hour, and it was during my dinner time.  It's harrassing.  On the occasions that I have picked up the phone in order to request that they stop the harrassing phone calls, no one answers.  Once someone picked up but only said hello.

they keep calling for several weeks many times a day, I wish I can find them and sue them! If you know who is this - please let me know

THESE JERKS, AKA "PERSONAL PERIOD" HAVE CALLED OUR HOUSE EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS, IT IS SO VERY ANNOYING - NO ONE IS EVER ON THE LINE. I SURE WISH I KNEW A WAY TO STOP THEM FROM CALLING - IT IS AT ALL DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY.

I'd received this phone call three to four times per day, when they were called first time, I pick up that and the lady said that I will receive a coupon $4o.oo dollars .............. I was answer that I am not interesting and hung up the phone. But they're keep calling, I never pick up after that. I just registered my phone to donotcall web site,if I have a change to receive that damnit phone call ,I'll tell them that they will got fines $500 to do so.

I don't receive these types of calls often (1-3 every 6 weeks or so), but I always make it a point to report them immediately.

The moment I answered, this individual(s) hung up.

The most amusing thing to me is that the few times I actually HAVE had a live person on the other end of one of these calls, they are never looking for me, but someone else who is not me (I have had the same phone number for at least 6 years now).

They call at least 3 times per day and all I get is silence on the other end. They started calling the same day our phone was hooked up!!!!! When I called back a recording told me to be removed from the call list I needed to leave my phone number. Hopefully it works!!!

#1 Stop giving your number out! go to Privatephone.com and give that number out... companies will give away your personal information

#2 nicely tell them to put you on their "do not call" list. Telling them you're not interested isn't a permenant way to get off their call list.

#3 hanging up just puts you on redial..

Take it from a telemarketer.. I'm sick of these 40 year old bloggers pissing online about how a number keeps calling them!

this number has called me twice, once a day for the past 2 days and I haven't answered it and they never leave a voicemail...I typed it into google and found out all you people are having the same problem! It's annoying.

i get these 4 or 5 times a day, never anyone there.  when you call the number it says something about some promotional thing,  how do you promote something if you never say anything, i'm a truck driver and often i don't want to look at the number (for safety reasons).  i just figure i'ts my wife or the company i work for,  it's annoying as hell,  does FCC have any pull in this sort of thing???

Yeah they just started calling me too, I havent answered, guess I will one of these times and tell them to take me off, it is such a mess once they get your number.

I just called the toll free number listed by Joe and spoke to a "live" person FINALLY. I asked her to remove my number. She wanted my name and I told her that I would'nt give my name, but I did give her my number. She then said it would take 24 to 48 hours. They, the Personal Period callers, were calling me 2-4 times per day, never sayng nothing, and it only got worse when I told them I lodged a complaint against them with the FCC. Hopefully the toll free number supplied by Joe works and they don't give my number to others. I too have a unlisted number and do not know how the got my number.

I have been receiving two to three calls per day from this company. On several occasions, I answered, but got silence. I'm told this is due to their auto dialer. If it doesn't detect someone on the other end, or thinks it has received an answering machine, it will disconnect. I called the number back an left my number to be removed from their list, but I still continue to get calls.

The other day, I talked to a woman who said she was calling for "Publishers Sweepstakes", not "Publishers Clearing House Swepstakes". She wanted to know if I had a preferred credit card and if so, which one it was. I told her I wouldn't give that information over the phone and asked to be removed form their calling list. She hung up on me.

Today I got another call and spoke to a different woman. She gave the same story about "Publishers Sweepstakes". I told her I had already spoke to someone and asked to be removed from their calling list. She hung up on me. I have filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Comission. Hopefully they will get the message.

To sumit a complaint with the FTC, go to https://rn.ftc.gov   Maybe if they get enough complaints, they'll do something about it.

call them at 800-924-1399 but they are all brain dead so dont expect to get far.  They will say they arent hangin up on you but that they are dropped calls.  You can also call them at 1-954-721-0377.  In worst case lets tie up their lines insted.  If anyone lives in FL where these guys are at please go slap them all for me.

I've been getting at least 2 or 3 calls every day for about a month. They never leave a message and I normally do not pick up. This should stop!

These people call my work number 6+ times a day.  I have a call ID on my work phone, so I just don't answer...when I have, I get silence.  Since this is my work phone number, I can't get on a do not call list (I don't believe).  I am just glad to know it's not just me that they are harrassing.  

In regards to Erin above (December 2007), I don't give out my work number...there is no reason for someone, especially a telemarketer, to have it, and if there is no one there to complain to, how do you resolve it.  It sounds like calling the 800 number doesn't get you very far either.  I guess I will just keep ignoring them.
