This is First Data collection dept. I received a not-very-polite call from them today saying that they couldn't withdraw anymore money from my account for the service. I tried to explain them that I was in the process of resolving the issue with them through email (I only needed the credit card machine for 2 months, but was tricked into signing the contract for 4 years!). The representative didn't want to listen and said I owe them money and I should resolve the issue right away through the phone. Horrible company! Don't do business with them!

I don't know if this has anything to do with the purchase I was trying to make at Home Depot with a check. But this number called around the same time ... when the check machine at Home Depot wasn't working to read my check!!! The cashier person called the customer service number ..to see why it wasn't taking my check? After the cashier lady at Home Depot spoke to them...they told her that my check got denied. I know I had sufficient funds in my checkings account...because I ended up having to use my Visa Debit card INSTEAD ...to get money from my checkings account. My Visa Debit card went through WITHOUT A HITCH!!!!  So..I had to access my checkings by using my Visa Debit card instead!!! But for some reason...these people couldn't approve my check???? What's up with that?? I think this is a debt collector scam. I'm very suspicious that this number coincidentally called around the same time...my check wasn't being approved by people who obviosly LIED/or didn't know what they were doing. And said they couldn't approve it...FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I had sufficient funds in my checkings account!!!!! I'm glad I never answered this number. It seems shady....now that I have read other comments from people on here!!  IF this is a debt collector scam operation...then THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO!!!! The last thing I want...is some PHONY blotch on my credit score.

Wow Helen, had something similar happen to me!

I was at Home Depot yesterday (Sunday, April 17th, 2011) at Home Depot making a purchase with a check.  I rarely write checks, but the customer service rep said that their automated system was down, so she had to make a call (I asked, I think she said it was Telecheck).  The check was approved, but within a few minutes (I didn't hear my phone ring), I got a call from this same number... no voice-mail.  I attempted to call back, but got the typical "call back during business hours" message.

This is ChasePaymentTech, a credit card processor for many retail stores. Very bad customer service. They do not make effort to verify your account status.

This number is First Data collection agency.  It is also called FDGL (First Data Global Leasing).  They are nothing but a rip off with PFC (Payment Solutions) with credit cards.  Beware don't use them, don't sign any contracts, do not do business with either one they are a scam.  They get you to sign a contract with them for your credit cards (for your business) then when it doesn't work out, which I don't think it ever works out with them, they charge you for 4 years for something that you don't have, never used and never will.

When I answered a woman said they were calling to verify that this was a number for and said my name.  I said if they were selling anything that I wasn't interested.  She (heavy accent) said it wasn't to sell anything just to verify a number.  I hung up.  By the way, she NEVER identified the company.

My experience at Walmart, twice now, was similar to Helen D & Chris B. The first time that I called the 1-888 #, the person spoke in a US American accent. The second time, the person spoke w' an East Asian Indian accent, as the other Anonymous said. The first time I called this 1-888-#, there wasn't a call from 954-851-7000. This second time there was a call left  w' out a message from 954-851-7000. In both cases, they took info, & then put me on hold while they entered the info on a computer (What site?, I don't know.). Whatever this company is by name, they do take / collect data on people.

Exact same thing happened to me today May 21st,2017 at Office Max. Guy was checking my check approval ...asked for my phone number and he went back to where he was doing his checking....my phone rang and The woman said my phone number then asked if it was correct...I said yes...she said thank you for applying and before I could say I'm not applying for anything... click she was gone. Guess I will be filing a police report! Has anyone who has written about this had any further problems after the call?

This company called me several times recently.  First data collections.  A office girl signed an agreement for use of cc machine.  Machine returned six months ago after business was sold.  Office girl was badgered and threaten if she didn’t pay off lease to be turned over to collections and sued.  Negotiated out so they’d lay off her.  A real POS company.  Don’t do business with them.  BEWARE.
