Odd thing, though: Although the CID says "Wachovia", reverse lookup indicates nothing about Wachovia; looks to be a private number in Hollywood, FL:

They called me twice, missed me the first time, male caller claimed to be with Wachovia. The second time, they asked for me by a name I haven't used in over TWO DECADES. I told them that that person hadn't existed in MANY years, after which the caller apologized for bothering me & hung up.

Frankly, I am VERY doubtful that these people are even who they claim to be and would be leery of giving them ANY personal information. If you're interested in doing business with Wachovia, call them or go into one of their branches.

This number called my home at 11:34 pm, 11:35pm, 11:37pm, 11:38pm plus a couple more times. I was asleep. Each time caller ID said "unknown number". I did the star return call thing and got nothing until the last call when I got a automated message asking if I wanted to be on Wachovia's third party do not call list. Now what do they think? Obviously Wachovia is handing out our phone numbers. My VOIP phone line shows on the computer the number I called so I blocked that number from my line also.

Just received a call from this number. No one answered when I said "hello". Called Wachovia customer service. Bank representative advised me that this is NOT a Wachovia number.

I also received a call from this number asking for my husband by name identifying himself as Wachovia - when I asked what the call was about he again asked if my husband was available.  I said no and that I was his wife and could I help him.  He just hung up.  

I called this number back and received a recording that this was a telephone sales agency for offers through Wachovia and if I did not wish to receive any more of these call I could opt out by hitting the number x key (don't remember which it was).  I did not do this for two reasons - I don't trust it and I want to call Wachovia first to complain about them giving my number out to third parties and two the fact that the person that called us was rude by hanging up on me!

Be careful. Their phone number comes up as Wachovia, Google the number and it is listed on Yellowbot as Wachovia, call the number it says you have reached Wachovia. Yellowbot is a Search Engine Optimizer. Anything listed there is suspect. Google address listed, it's a "virtual office". Any  call from 954-926-2847 is a SCAM. Google the real Wachovia for 800 number, or bother to go to your local office and make a report. You can also make a report to The Federal Trade Commission  ftc.gov and file a report. Save some vulnerable person from getting ripped off.
