- M| 1 replyMy son answered the phone. Took two or three times of "hello" before someone picked up. They asked for me and by the time I took the call, they hung up. We have a JC Penney card.

- Smoothieok...they call us alot and i am creeped out
- TalkTheTalk| 2 repliesI've been getting the calls everyday too. I finally called them directly using that same number. It's Stonebridge Insurance. You need to press #3 to get the call in English, but afterwards it gives you the option to be removed from their calling list. I selected this option, but we'll see...

- D.T.| 1 replyStone Bridge Life Insurance 954-926-5876. When I answered the phone they had some one being trained in for when they mentioned JC Penny card holder another person got on and said something to them and they hung up on me. I wanted to give them a verbal bashing for calling me home 24/7. I finally tracked down the real companies phone number 1-800-362-6900 Stone Bridge Life Insurance and they confirmed that it was given by JC Penny's. I told them that any futher calls here would be considered harassment and I would take legal action. I was told I would not get any more calls from them. Well see. Good luck to those who are having the same issues.

- user| 2 repliesThese [removed] called me today. I was laying in bed having the flu and then they called me waking me up from bed. The guy on the phone was definately black talking ebonics. First of all, anyone talking ebonics representing a company will NOT cause me to take them seriously. He then told me he was from StoneBridge Insurance saying I recently got a JC Penny card. He wanted to offer me Health Insurance. Then he kept on apologizing and saying how busy everyone was as well as his supervisor because everyone wants in on this deal. He asked me how are the girls down here where I live and how was life and asking about my children and family.
If a company has any professional standards, they wouldn't be asking all of this. Seriously, who asks about girls here where I live and how big/small of a city it is?? Then I ask him if they have a web site I could see. He told me the wrong URL address. Then I told him no, it doesn't work, then he gave me another URL address and that didn't work either. He put me on hold for another minute. By this time, I just decided to google up the URL and found it and then he called back and I told him I already found it and he said sorry about that. At this point, I wanted to hang up so bad because I was also feeling sick (sneezing and coughing throughout the conversation). Seriously, who wouldn't know their own company's web site where you work at?? So 10 minutes later, he then gets his supervisor on the phone and she was also black speaking ebonics. I couldn't understand some ebonic words she was saying, so I had her repeat it and then I asked her, it says on the web site that they offer life-insurance, so why was I told I was offered health insurance? She said it would cost me only $15.99 per month (if you are single) after the first 2 months which would be paid by them.
I told her then that I'm NOT interested and then she repeated everything all over again. I'm saying to myself... I'm not stupid and had to tell her no again and I said IF I am interested, I will call back, which I will NEVER do!
Here's some useful advice for companies (whether you want to represent your company professionally or sound/look legit by trying to scam people):
1) Don't talk ebonics (better yet, don't hire low-wage black outbound callers)
2) Don't ask about how are the girls where the customer lives
3) Know the correct URL link for your company. It shouldn't take you 3 tries to figure it out. I don't even know if he figured out the correct URL for his company, when I had to look it up via Google myself.
4) Don't act like how busy your company is by saying how everyone wants to take advantage of whatever you are trying to sell. If in fact you are busy, you would wait until your actual spokesperson isn't busy to call a customer and NOT repeatedly put them on hold for over 20 minutes.
5) Know exactly what it is that you are trying to sell to a customer. He told me that it was health insurance, but I found out that it was just life insurance as stated on the web site.
BTW, when I Googled up the company on the web site, surprisingly I found negative reviews on StoneBridge Insurance/JC Penny. Chances are I probably won't ever shop at JC Penny again.- Caller: StoneBridge Insurance
- michelleAll these calls come in all times of day. They need to stop or I will be taking legal action.
- CarolineThey call all the time and it is annoying. Several times a day and I'm sick of it. And when I do answer before looking at the ID, I tell them over and over again that I do not want more insurance. STOP, I SAID NO!!!!!!!!!!!

- SLeeThey've been calling about 3x a day for the past week. We don't pick up because we have caller id. From reading the other complaints, it doesn't sound like talking to them is going to make the calls stop.
