- Annoyed| 1 replyCalled with spam about there were no problems with my credit card, but to press "1" to lower my interest rate to 6%.....what a joke. How can they lower my interest rate when they aren't my bank.

- Greg| 1 replyI saw the number, did not recognize it, wrote it down but did not answer. Then I checked it here and found out it was a spammer. Just wanted to thank the people who post here. You saved me from being spammed with junk phone solicitations.

- VanCI like to play a game and see how long I can keep them on the line. If I keep them tied up on the phone for as long as I can then maybe it will prevent them from scamming someone who is an easy target.
Make a game of it and tell all of your friends to do the same thing. I used to be annoyed, now I am just amused.- Caller: Cardmember services

- Rob| 1 replyWhenever I get one of those "lower your interest rate" calls, I play a game with them. I ask the caller to hold on for a second while I finish what I was doing. Then I play porn from my computer really loud into the phone. After a few minutes, I get back on the phone in a breathless voice and say "ok, I'm done, what I can I do for you?". You'd be surprised how many people actually stay online and wait.

- DNC registry is not workingCalled again and tired of it.
DNC isn't working! - Leave_Me_AloneI don't answer 'unknown' numbers nor do I call them back (big mistake if you do). Left no message, get 'you mail' app on phone and set up greeting of "this number has been disconnected" for all those unwanted callers, also has some cool greetings you can program for your friends, as well has link to who calls me.
- Toni| 3 repliesThey called my business/landline number first. I pressed the option to speak to a real person. When the person came on asking if i wanted to lower my cc interest rate, i simply asked her if she was interested in a cruise. She said "excuse me". I said sure, but you called me, a travel agent. So where do you want to go on your cruise vacation? She got ugly and pissy with me. I reminded her that She called me. I told her that according to the recording that this is my "final notice" from "card member services". If this is the case, then please take me off your calling list and make it my "final call" from them. 6 minutes later the same dang number called my cell phone. Really? What does it take to get this/these telemarketers to actually make it the "final" notice? What does it really take to be on that "no call list" that the government has? Is it really just as worthless and a waste of my time? I have a business to run and i do get calls from all over the USA. so I really should answer all calls coming in. But it's to the point where i sometimes let it go to voice mail, and if by chance it is a "real" customer, I'll call them back and apologize.
There is an app for cell phones. It's called "privacy star". The local news station talked about it one night, and I immediately downloaded it. It's free and it works great.- Caller: card holder services

- Abby replies to suzDo not give your information out to these people like I did. Big mistake. It's a scam!!!! They are fraudulant and will steel your credit card information. Once I gave them my informaton for first credit card they said that they couldn't use that one and they needed another one. That's when I knew it was not good and I hung up and immediately called my credit card company and they cancelled my credit card.
- Lupe Guerrathe automated message stated to call them about my credit report. I tried calling back but it gave a busy signal. I tried texting to stop calling me but it was sent back. I want my name & number removed from all their lists & certainly not sold or given to other scammers! They need to shut them down for harassing people!

- lupe guerra replies to suzthat's what it said; I remember! I was so mad that I blanked out for a minute
- sue (don't call me) replies to ToniIt's called "privacy star".
sounds great but it's not free. - KathThis number is from a telephone company in Gateway, CO which I called today. A customer service representative stated that they are aware of the situation and the FBI has been called. The telephone company phone number is 970-864-7336.
- mermaidSPAM! Do not reply to them, hang up. This should be criminal. It should be illegal for someone other than my bank to offer to lower my interest rate (and it doesn't apply to me anyway, I have a zero balance). Hey everyone, if you ever want to lower your interest rate then do it with the company you have your card with - and NO ONE ELSE. Do not add people to what should be a fiduciary, private relationship between you and your lender (bank) !
