no message called cell number

Got an angry call, alot of cursing and shouting-he then hung up.
Tried to call back-said number was out of service.

Called me today but didn't answer it.  Caller ID said it was "Unknown Name".  Smells like a big scam to me.  Didn't bother to leave a message either.

The call I received was an unwanted phone offer for a credit card service fro businesses.

got a call from this number.  it started with a recording, stating they are in the business of providing financing for automotive repair shops.  My phone number use to be associated with an auto parts business that closed several years ago.    

The recording asked me to press 1, to speak with someone.  When I did so, it just disconnected me.
Tried calling back, but the number is a blackhole (rings once, connects, then is silent)

Robo call selling credit card machines and service.  "Press One to be transfered" ..... of course, it went to voice mail.  I left my number to see if they really would call back.

Called my mobile. Called back and said the number was no longer in service. Meanwhile, my phone number is on the DND list. Second time this number has phoend in the last 2 days. If they call again, I'm filing a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. (https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2)

I also have been receiving calls from this number, and they don't leave a message. Caller ID states call is from Local Service. I'm already on the Do Not Call Registry, but continue to get these unwanted calls.

Received call this morning at 9:10am to my 503 area code cell phone.  I did not answer as I did not recognize who it was from caller ID.  They did not leave a message.  I called back later with block caller ID.  I received a recorded message with a voice that sounded like it was recorded off of those programs one can buy these days to voice whatever phrases you type in (like dragon's "naturally speaking").

The message indicated that the number was disconnected or no longer in service, etc.  Though, anyone could record such a message on their voice-mail (god knows I have to foil creditor calls; which only works if it answers directly to voice-mail).  Anyways, my opinion from my own experience and from what I have read here is that it is a random shady baseless automatic sales call.

I just read elsewhere by someone that they started to receive these calls after posting an ad on Craig's List with their phone number in it.  So if you have an ad, or job posting somewhere, your number had likely been harvested by software and you were added as someone to call.  Just a thought.

No idea why this number called me.  No message was left.

Scam caller and I had to pay via cell phone. Get the dogs out!

I placed a Automobile ad on craigslist Monday !  this number now calls me 2 times a day about credit card machines I asked them don"t to call again and 10 min later they called the person said some *#%*@%* words and hung up then called 3 hrs later at 11pm and hung up when I answered.  They have been reported

Bingo! You hit the nail on the head. I have a Craigslist ad. 01-15-2013. Just got a call from them Service Local and they are trying to sell debit and credit card machines.

I got a call from this number too. Annoying! No message and when I call back it says not a working number.
