I get this # on my caller ID as many as 4 times a day from morning to late as 9:00 at night!  It is getting to the point of harassment! The name says "Charter", which is my internet provider. Somehow I don't think it is them calling that many times and no message.

It is Charter and yes, they are that rude!

I don't believe for one minute its Charter. I answered the phone and they wanted to ask me questions about my account.  They didn't know what my name was and tried to elicit that from me.  I didn't confirm anything to them and told them I would not answer any of their questions.  I hung up on them.  It was a scam in the making.  

I was stalked for years by an ex, but incessant calls from this number are causing me to put my first block on my cell phone.  I am genuinely scared.

Just got my first call from this number. Did not answer. If they call again, I will do what has worked for me in the past which came from a tip I read somewhere. Open the line, then alternately press the # key and the * key until you get approx. 2 lines of this in your phone window and then hang up. The tip said that this knocks your phone # out of their system and speaking from experience--it works for whatever reason.

I, too, receive at least 2 calls/day from this number, identified as Charter on my caller id. My provider is Time Warner, so I don't get it.

The only thing I can think of is something about the proposed Comcast/Time Warner merger. If successful, Charter would acquire over a million Comcast/TW subscribers. I would be one of those. As far as I know, that merger has not gone through yet, if it ever does. So, that begs the question, "Why would Charter be calling me now"?  :(

This is charter calling and it's not even available in my area. They even stuck a bill collector on me a few years ago I had to call my attorney and threaten to sue them and charter. Now they calling again.

The phone rings and nobody is there. Don't know why they do this.

I get 3-4 calls a day, and no matter what I do or say, there is only silence on the other end. There is never a response, just an open line. And the Silence. I've started marking myself with a sharpie when they call (Dr. Who reference anybody?). No clue who it is, assuming Charter because that is what a Google search tells me, but no way to be sure if I just get dead silence.

I get a phone call from this number 3 to 4 times a day and I usually don't answer. The voicemail is always 7 to 10 seconds of silence. I have called the number back in the past and surprisingly had someone answer.  He said he was with Charter but seemed very shocked and confused that I had the audacity to call him! I hung up shortly thereafter.

I get calls at least 4-5 times a day!  I am sick and tired of them calling especially when I have a child taking a nap after lunch!

I signed up with charter in early Oct. of this year.  In Nov., I started a list of repeated callers who hang up when they get to the leave your message.  And yes, they don’t take “no” for an answer. So, from time to time I will post an update of their behavior and on every website I can find to post calls about their annoying habits.

Charter has been calling constantly, I have had to block several numbers.

They called me so i called them back they stated they were charter yet told me we were being recorded and asked if that was ok?. I already have charter and they dont ask if its ok to record they just tell you that you are being recorded. He told me that charter was expanding its network and could be available in my area i said well if you work for charter then you should know i already have charter for internet, he said well you called me i said no you called me and i called back he started to be even more rude and told me to have a good rest of my day and goodbye.....VERY SUSPICIOUS IF YOU ASK ME if he worked for charter like he claim he would know that charter has been my internet provider for YEARS!!!!

Yes it's Charter. They are  a subcontractor for Charter, and some of the rudest I have ever came across. Trying to get customers to upgrade accounts. Will not take NO for an answer. Had to block the number.

They've called at least half a dozen times over the past few days, but the two times I picked up, there was silence for a second before they hung up? And they never leave voice messages. I find this very confusing, as I don't see the point in calling someone if you're just going to hang up...

Getting daily calls.  I do not answer but says "Unavailable"
No messages left.

Calls twice, sometimes 3 times a day. No one ever talks when I answer and never leaves VM.
