Got a call a few minutes ago= it was Santander Consumer Services- have my car payment with them. This is not their normal number. Apparently they have used someone else's to call me since I I three weeks past due on my payment.

they change their number constantly !

I keep getting phone calls from this number and another 469 number..I know I am late on payment, but they had the audacity to tell me that I should do a pay-day loan so I can pay my payment...what gives with that.

I got a call from this number today...said they were a court system for Santander...ask if I had legal counsel on my cell phone...not sure who it is???

As I understand it, that's against the law for them to do...   But, then again, it appears they break all sorts of the "rules".... Properly owed money or not, that's why they have the *FAIR* trade act....

Funny --- how our "loan" with HSBC can be "sold" to a collection agency with less than stellar history of "playing fair".... Even HSBC was reasonable about things....

Call them from ANY number, and you will get a call on that number as quick as the next day!   EVEN if it's not YOUR number!  and they will NOT go away!!!

It's against the law to represent themselves as a court "system" in order to get you to pay up....

They have to say who they REALLY are, including the name of the company and the name of the person you're talking to ---  They cannot intentionally mislead you by stating anything else.

That includes calling from numbers coming up with other names, or otherwise "fake"...including calling from a CELL PHONE!   (which has been known to happen)

I realize this forum isnt for this === but it's information on their habits of calling from fake numbers, and using any means they can to get money.....  owed I am sure --- but not by these methods.

I keep getting a calls from this number and i have never had a loan from them!!!

Got a call from this number 972-559-1162 "Santander" lookinf for a Claudia, or a Mr. & Mrs. Walker.  I informed this person there was no one at this number by either name.  That I have had this number for 3 years and have had calls from them before.  I asked wher they got my phone number and she just hung up on me.  I really expect to continue getting phone calls from these people & it is getting very tiring.  I really don't want to change my number, but it may be my only option & it's shame - we are even on the "do-not-call" list, guess that don't count either.

They had been calling my 11 year old child's number. I didn't know this. When I finally found out, I asked how they got the number and they said I had called them from that phone previously. I asked them not to call and harass my daughter any more as she is only 11 and asked if they would like the appropriate number. I gave them my cell phone number and told them I would not be able to pay until two weeks from that date. I was told they would make a note of it. I've paid on time or before, often more than I owe every month, for nearly 3 years. With the economy as it is, I thought they would be understanding, especially since I have been on time before now. I expected not to hear from them again. Instead, they call every day, often more than once a day, often from a different number every time. I have set up a list of their numbers in my phone so that it rings silent every time they repeat a number. I'm pretty sure this is harassment according to the fair credit act.

These people are rude, make false promises, and will say anything at all to get money from you. They will call non-stop numerous times a day from various numbers and do not leave a message. They are unethical and could not care less about the fair credit reporting act. If you do actually try to work with them, you have to speak to a different person each time that you call, and they always ask for more money or imply that your vehicle is about to be repossessed. I am not sure they have violated the law, but they push the limits. I got a 6th call last night at 9:58. I just ignore the call and then add it to my contact list with a specific ringer. I refuse to speak with these people. If they repossess my vehicle, then so be it. I will save the money I am sending them and buy something used rather than deal with this ignorant BS.

I am only 5 days past my due date--i actually paid my payment this morning--yet this afternoon they are calling me--plus my hubby is deployed and there is that "sailor and soldier relief act" they refuse to work with me on that--with the "sailor and solider relief act" they are suppose to lower your interest rate to 6% since my husband is in the military and they wont do it...ugh i hate them.  my orginial loan was not with Santander--but then i found out my other loan company sold my loan to them!! HATE them

Isn't it funny that HSBC was part of the AIG that was bailed out!  Not to mention the 2 1/2 Billion that HSBC recieved from the bailout also!  Now our loans are sold to debt collectors and they absolutely refuse to do anything in any way shape or form to help us!  Thats our wonderful Government at work for us again!  I could go on and on but I'll stop right here!

I get calls from Santander USA at  least 12 times a day and they like to use many different numbers!
From what I've seen they are using at least 20 different numbers so far!!

These people are on my last nerve have talked to them every month since I got layed of and they don't want to cut anyone any slack at all .I am paying every month and they want more then I can give to make up for late charges and 1mth I am behind .They threatened me to come repo my car after I've been paying for 4yrs and it's almost paid off.They aint gettin My car !!!

I know what you mean! I just got a call from them again! Granted I am late on my payment by 11 days, about to make it tomorrow, but still! On their website it states I have 1100 left on my car. When I request a payoff it says 2410! That is horrible. When I called the rep to find out the actual pay off they stated the 2410 included a balloon payment and fees for title transfer. I said 1300 worth? They said yes, its for their legal fees and it must be made before the loan ends in Sept. If this is not paid, they will not transfer the title and they can repossess the car at anytime...this is so frustrating!

They keep calling me asking for someone I dated several years ago.  I've told them this each time they called, but they keep calling.  I'm about ready to file harassment charges.

These people called my MOTHER, told her I had won a free gift, but they needed my cell number.  She gave it to them.  Now they call all day....I'm going to get fired if they don't stop. they are calling my WORK cell.  It is SO SO wrong.  I am required to answer every call, I am so mad,  and every time they call with a different number.

this company is full of it. i have phone calls from eary mornings to very late at night  do they have the right to call after 8pm  , not only  call you about 20 times a day from all different # but they collect your money and keep calling you , i am about  to get more bad credit  becouse i have no job and they do not care  it will be a vey good for me whem they disconect my friends phone # for none payment too ,

Anybody, when you get a car loan do not go with companies like city bank, bank of america they do not post payment correctly  and they keep adding up the interest . if they take my car oh well  i will take it as i had a rental and keep going to better car for less money  , and i make sure who i will be banking with.

I've never even heard of Santander.  No message was left, nor do I have anything with this company.  My auto loan is through Wells Fargo.
