I got a call from 972-674-8301 from Allen Murphy about my daughter.   Said she owed 1421.00.  Said they would settle for 473.00.  My daughter and I thought it might have been identity theft from 2008.  They threatened summons, court and jail.  I reluctantly paid.  They said that they didn't have any records as they were a collection company not Cashnet.   I think I have been scammed.  And then they charged me 475.00 and not the 473.00.

saying that i need to call today - immediately to avoid embarassement to handing me documents.. but come on and bring it.. i have never been given documents in hand for debt.

for what i last remember, you cant get arrested for debt owed. so they can kiss my ***.

I hate these new scare tactics, im over all of it.. at first they use to scare me, but now EVERY collector is now an attorney and now every collector wants to put me through court.

They called and left a v/m for me saying I was 'the subject of an ongoing investigation, please call me immediately on 972-674-8301.... this is Investigator "x" and you have been notified'. When I called back, she wouldn't say what the company was or what they were investigating.  When I asked her if they were a collection agency and for her job title she told me she was a secretary and was trying to find my file.  When I told her I thought this sounded extremely suspect and to either tell me what the company does or I was hanging up, she hung up.
