caller claims that microsoft pc secure wizzard is sending warnings from my computer to an international router.  original call showed up on my caller id as "out of area".  caller knew my first & last name, i asked who he was & where he was calling from, only information he provided was phone # 973-200-6677.  i would not give him any information, he said he was going to call back which he has repeatidly.  most calls show up as out of area, however one showed phone # 213-271-1644.  this has been happening several times a day for about 8 days.  today i advised him i am not talking with you, stop calling.  i have notified my phone co & am also filing a police report.

Just had a call - first came up as Unknown - at 9:40 p.m. from an Indian sounding woman who wanted me to go to my computer.  I told her it was the middle of the night here and hung up.  She called back insisting that I go to my computer, knew my husband's name.  The number came up as 987-654-3210 that time.  I told her we'd have to call her back.  The number she gave (after being put on hold) was 973-200-6677.  She said her name was Kate Smith.  Really??

never do what they asked you to do. they will guide you to a website, guide you to download a software(antivirus) and charge you for a lifetime fee. while the software will do nothing to protect your pc but send your data to their server.this type of scam are run by tech expert to extort money or make some quick bucks. your data will be sold to another scam expert and the next time they call the will have all the requird info to convince you that something is indeed wrong on your pc. online dating and adult website top the list of selling data to scammers. (don't track me, i'm trying to help people)  just beware of this nonsense callers. don't give in to them. and your name and number can be easily found from phonebook.if you are in uk, these people used bt.com, 192.com n somtz yellow pages to access your info. think twice before you make a purchasd online, on the phone or emails. spread the words. and yes they used fake names. how can an indian sounding men or women have english names? to be honest majority of them calls from new delhi.

A man who calls himself "Austin" told me he was calling from Microsoft, checking my computer because he believes I have many bugs and my security system may not be working. He told me he could work through it with me a  then asked me to press certain keys on the Key board. This is when I ended the conversation.
He wanted to call me back later.

Received a call telling me of malicious virus downloaded onto my computer.  My Windows Safety had run out.  I should go to my computer and...  I said the line was lousy, please give me a phone number.  The line went dead.  A few minutes later a new caller repeating the claims and this time they did give me a number.  I became suspicious when they gave the impression that Microsoft were concerned with my computer's well being.

My guy was "Jimmy" after another woman passed me off to him when I was sounding suspicious. If my computer was sending them 'error messages,' then they shouldn't have had to ask what version of Windows I was using.  They also wanted me to get on my computer, but I told them I wasn't going to rip my landline out of the wall to do it and pretended I'd call them back. They gave me the 973 number.

Also sounded like they were in a noisy call center. Both had thick accents that I suspect are Indian.

They called me as well but before I answered the phone I googled the number read all of the xoemts then decided I would play a game with them. They told me to push some buttons on my laptop so I pretended I did. I let them tell me what I was suppose to do and then couldn't help but laugh and she asked what I was laughing about so I finally told her I don't even have any sort of computer system in my house so it's impossible for my computer to be sending u guys error message. She hung up on me and I haven't heard from them since. It's been over 7 months. Haha

I received two calls from these people and they were very persistent in trying to get remote access to my computer. I asked for a number which I could call and the number 1 973 200 6677 was given and the persons employee no. was JW1314 and there name was Jack Wilson. I quickly did a reverse number search and found this link about that number. https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-973-200-6677 I had told him what I had found out about the number to which the guy on the other end of the call got all weird and hung up. From everything I have found about them online, they are a scam. I have also called this number and asked to talk to Jack Wilson and when I was told that he was on break I told the guy I know that this is a scam and that I have contacted the authorities and if I ever receive a call from them again that they will be getting a knock on the door and will be arrested. The guy I spoke to also got very weird on the phone and then tried to cover the phone so I couldnt hear but I could hear him talking to someone and then with out another word to me hung up the phone. beware of phone scams and never let anyone have remote access to your computer. You may loss your identity or god forbid your life saving. BEWARE !!!

Ok... Scam phone call... with this number: 999-910-0238... but read below!!!

Two time today... to my 2 different phone numbers...
I live in Montreal... I'm a webmaster... having a good idea of what it is...

first: IF THEY ASK YOU TO ENTER YOU PC VIA "Ctrl + windows icon" STOP THERE!!!!

I did so for the first call but...  at a second call... I let them speak...

First they say that they are a company in Denver and that my Windows system has problems...  They will guide me through the step to follow to repare the problem...

They were very rushy... I tried to calm them down telling them that I speak french... that my English is not very good...  During the time they were calling, I check out the phone the 1st number they were calling with an other of my phone, the number is not registered... I told that to the guy and he told me that is an IP phone... then he gave me those two numbers to check if its ok: try the first one 1-973-200-6677 and this one if it does not work try 845-262-3972  + his id number 7037...

I asked to know what it's their website... he gave me this:
www.fitser.com/client/contact.php...  A cie based in Panama...  Not Denver... the 845-262-3972 was the phone number on the site but the other phone number is also a scam number...

Then I asked him to send me an other e-mail with details so I can call them back after checking with my technical provider to see if its real...  The guy said ok but told me that they are not allowed to have technical people to call them... It has to be ME calling them back...  Then I asked why... he said again that it's has to be me... not my technical person... Then he panic and spoke faster and faster...  he hang up...

SO PLEASE when you have something like this happening, tell the person that you will asked your technical guy call them back... it works...
