calls four time a week when call back say we are close

Called at 11:07AM on 3/4/14 and connection was bad.  Man started saying he was calling to verify my warranty for my car and knew the make, model and year yet struggled to pronounce it.  Call cut out after he mispronounced model of car.  Verified name.  I called back and message said it was closed and open Pacific Standard time 7AM - 5PM.  No company listed.  Phone number out of Passaic, NJ 07055.  

I dropped my car off of service at Range Rover and then this number called my cell three times.. wonder if it is related..

Someone called asking for my husband by name. When asked what the phone call was in reference to the male individual who called proceeded to mumble and slur every word so that he was not understandable.

Has called twice. When I answer, no response. When I called the number, recorded message said office closed.

Been getting calls from this number...never a voicemail. Also, strangely, rec'd a call a week ago from someone trying to sell me an extended warranty for my newer car...same company that floods my mailbox with letters indicating "FINAL NOTICE" to "extend my warranty coverage." It's all a load of BS. If you are around to answer the call, and tell them you're not interested, they hang up on you before you're finished with the sentence.

Is anyone doing business with Wells Fargo Dealer Services? I'm wondering if they gave my information out.

just got the same call about the service warranty.  I looked into insurance with geico.  I'm betting they sold my info.

Getting calls from 973-330-3563.  Telemarketer, trying to sell extended car warranty.  Sames as the bogus 'Final Notice' letters in the mail.  

Just ignore or hang up. Alternative: forward the person to your fax machine. Just saying.

Received a call, in very broken English, from the VEHICLE WARRANTY CENTER on 20-MAR-2014.
After I stopped laughing, I told the gentlemen that I was not interested and to cease and desist all future calls immediately.

I hung up before any more sales talk ensued. I then blocked that the number on my VOIP.

Caller had my name and vehicle make and year. I could barely understand the caller. Said he wanted the milage on my vehicle and something about an extended warranty. He would not answer when I asked for the name of his company...just tap danced around it.  I told him I wasn't giving him any information because I couldn't ascertain from him who he was, and that I already had an extended warranty. He said thanks and hung up. I want to know how my name and vehicle year and make came into their hands...vehicle recently serviced at the dealership. But it seems from all the posts these people are getting alot of information on many vehicles.

ANNOYING.  This number calls me every day.  I mean, every. single. day.  When I answer, call disconnects.  When I call back, there's an announcement that their "office is closed".  Pleeeeeeze make it stop

if there calling a cell phone .block the number that stop the calls called back always said office closed.

They call several times a day, I never answer calls I don't know.  They never leave any message.  Thank you Mr. Obama for the great DO NOT CALL LIST it works really well - NOT.    :)

I think I have the perfect solution (well at least for me). I just added the number to my contacts on my cell phone and gave it the name Bogus Telemarketer. So every time it calls my phone, I can know to ignore it. I think I will give it a special ring tone as well (maybe "Hello, Goodby," by the Beatles).

I had exact same experience -- several call now -- also mispronounced name of my car.
When I called number just now -- got "office is closed -- open 7AM - 4PM Pacific time"  (It's now 8:30 AM Pacific)
Will report as violator of do not cal list

I have also gotten calls from them, but they were screened by an answering machine and they did not leave a message. I use caller ID, and have stopped answering calls from unknown or unavailable numbers not familiar to me. If its a real person, let them leave a message.

In response to NJBUD's comment, yes it is no longer nearly as effective as it used to be. But it was passed in 2003, and signed by Bush. The problem is enforcement--enforcement  is not cheap, since it involves someone at FTC putting together the case against the violator. And they keep moving around.

In general, enforcement of government regulations has seen significant funding cuts from congress in the last few years--so blame congress, not the law.
