called at 1:00 and 1:30 am, spoke a language that I didn't recognize

This number has called me 14 X in 16 hours. I can not understand what he is saying, and has a VERY rude tone. Maybe I just don't understand foreign inflection. I wish to get them banned, and have blocked them using Verizon Wireless Spam blocker.

I received the calls 4 of them at 12am. what is the deal with these people???

Cognizant technology Solutions.  It seems to be the modus operandi for the Indians.  They will call you and expect you to get back with them soon (like in an hour).   It is kind of rude because if you are working you are not just going to drop everything.  Somehow these headhunters don't understand social etiquette as well.

This is a IT Consulting firm based off shore in India.  The reason for the untimely calls are likely due to the 11.5 hour offset in time zone.  They will usually be calling to provide support to a customer.  If they call you unsolicited they may have had the wrong number provided them or simply mistyped the number they intended to call.  Another possibilty could be a recruiter calling.  If you are looking for work and have posted a resume online, they could be recruiting you.  Work through the language barrier.  They are one of the largest IT consultin firms out there today and they are weathering the recession storm.  They pay well and are a great organization to be a part of.

LOL @simes... they are indians and they speak their own english. i love their accent and the way they say "have a good day" on gun-point at the end of conversation.

The Criminal groups involved in prolonged stalking and harassment with some people abusing and exploiting the consulting , without consent circulate the phone number, email and CV without consent for stalking and harassment for sexual predatory needs. This has been happening for many years by the perpetrator who abuses and exploits the consulting. Since May 2007, and ongoing this is a collaborative harassment by the criminal harassment group with perpetrators in this extremist type harassment group.

IT is an Indian company.They speak good english though. We feel a shame by indians ,they know different languages other than their mother tongur.but we blacks and americans just speak english dont know how to speak other languages. Shame on us.

Hay got 7 calls between 1:00AM-3:00AM from the same no(9733689700) when I call back in the morning seems this is from Cognizant techno solution, and ask for an Ext.

a) why do these guys call during hard times?
b) how do they get the number?
c) Cognizant firm don't have any control over the employees as the cognizant employees are disturbing US ppl.

from the above thread, its very clear that these indians dont have any brain, if you wanna spk to any one .. call them during their operating hrs.. even if some one picks the call by 1:AM or 2:00 AM wht do you expect to speak.. that too Indian's poor English.. some thing worst than the worst..

I work for Cognizant in North Dakota.  Great company to work for over the last three years. It is a Fortune 500 company, and a majority of the 40,000 plus employees work outside of the United States.  I was born here in North Dakota and have lived here my whole life and I have only been told I have an accent by people in Florida, especially my aunt (also my Godmother).  This number called me because I submitted by time card for the wrong week and they wanted to help me correct it so I would get my paycheck on time.

Gave call to my 3 year old and told her it was Santa, then blocked the number after repeated calls. Bahahahahaha

Time zone offset is no excuse for being woken up in the middle of the night.

Idiots...English IS their language!
