Only the number itself comes up in the caller i.d. But there's that long, deadly pause before they say anything; you can hear the phone click over to the call center. What was silence is now suddenly filled with voices.

They asked for the boss's given first name, which is on the business legal stuff, but he doesn't go by that name, and anyone with actual business with him knows that.

Just received a call from this number.  Number on Caller ID but no name.  Asked for boss by first name.  When I said he wasn't available and offered to take a message, they said they would call back.  They wouldn't give me any info -- name, company, nothing.

Calls and calls and calls for my husband who also does not go by his given name. As was stated above anyone with real business with him knows that. Will not give me any info except first name like Christy???

Received a call left no message.Just keeps calling,every day.

Got a call from this number too at my cell phone, also from 615-932-7050 and 856-299-9116.  Did not answer and no message left.  I called back and that 973-735-1281 says "that number is not in service"........so how are they calling from that number

Probably a collection agency or debt collector.  
Debtors often give out fake telephone numbers and these collection agencies call trying to reach the named individual.
Because it is my business line, I answered giving my name upfront.  
The call had nothing but silence afterwards and then they hung up.
They obviously did not get to whom they wanted to contact.

I just called this number and got a voicemail. It gave a website linknowmedia.com. When I went to the website and clicked on contact us, this number is not listed as one of their numbers and it says their address is 5075 De Sorel, 2nd Floor,
Montreal, Qc H4P 1G6 but my phone says the call was from Newark, New Jersey. Probably a a telemarketer.
