Called my cell.  Did not leave a message.

this number has phoned our business ta least 20 or more times a day. WHO are they?

Called at 8:20 in the morning. No message. No idea who they are.

Collection Agency calls for multiple lenders to include Wachovia, Bank of America, etc

First, when they call you, the number is dialed automatically, then is transferred to a person when you answer. That is why it takes a couple seconds (+/-) of you saying "hello?  hello?" before someone comes on.  Sometimes the call gets dropped during the transfer.

They are a collection agency that contracts for many different credit card companies.
There are many of these agencies.

We have been getting calls about every 2 weeks for about 2 months for my spouse's former roommate,
who has not lived here for over 13 years.  I have asked them over and over to remove our phone number.

I have called their customer service number at 800-655-1491 to have the number removed.
They were very nice, but said they had no record of our number in their system.
I am writing a letter to them at the address the last caller gave me:
