just rec'd a call from this number...didn't recognize the number and didn't answer. no message left.
caller ID only read, 'texas'.

Phone call this morning at 10:35 am from this number. No message left. Caller ID says only "Texas" as stated above.

recieve frequent calls from this number coming from Bryan Tx morning and night and we don't  owe any collection people!!!!!!

It's a non-profit asking for donations for kids. They have called several times but bc it is non-profit they can call even if your on the DNC list. We are on that list as well so I called the number back bc they hung up again when I answered. After waiting about 6 min. for someone to pick up I told her to PLEASE stop calling and mentioned the DNC list. Although it is very annoying bc we get a lot of these calls, the woman I got was very nice and said I will remove your number but that I would have to tell all non-profits the same thing. So to answer the question....it's a charity looking for donations but with this economy no one has the money to help others let alone ourselves.

several calls a week. twice i answered and they asked for my husband. when i said he wasn't available both times they hung up w/o saying anything.  next time my husband will answer and have some fun with them!

Calls several times weekly but they hang up without speaking every time I answer. If this is really a non-profit seeking donations as a few people have mentioned, then they have a very foolish technique!

I am fairly certain that the number is from a bill collector looking for a man and since I am female, when they hear my voice they hang up without speaking. I only got this number recently and I don't owe anyone any money but the person who had my number lpreviously did as he gets several calls weekly from collection agencies

They call late in the evening, in the morning and random times throughout the day and always hang up without speaking when I answer the phone.
People are writing that this is a non-profit agency doing fund raising but I doubt it since they spend a lot of time calling but not talking.
This is a tactic some debt collectors use, they only talk to someone if they think it is the person they are trying to collect from, so if a man answers and they want to speak to a woman, they just hang up without letting the person on the phone know who they are or who they are trying to locate and try again later.
It's also known for bill collectors to make up a story about who they are when the wrong person calls their number back.

I forgot to add that when you call the number back you get a message that the call cannot be completed as dialed so there is no way to verify who they are.

It is Kids Network. As others have said, there is silence when answering. When I returned the call, they answered "Kids Network". They sounded trustworthy but we already support several other organizations so I asked to be taken off the call list. We shall see if that happens.

These people just called and didn't leave a message.  I called back and after putting me on hold for a few moments, they answered as "Kids' Wish Network."  I'm blocking the number.  I agree, times are tough and I hate these sort of calls.  I give to charitable organizations when I'm able, but there are many worthwhile causes and I prefer to choose my own rather than responding to phone solicitations.

If you are with ATT, use *60 to add to your blocked list. It holds 6 #s but will not do toll free but since this isn't, it works. The number never makes it to your phone so no ringing and if they do hear something, it says they are blocked and you are no accepting calls from them.

Someone from this number keep calling, when I answer no one say anything.

Just got a call from them today. No response when I answered. Has anyone tried calling them back and not saying anything when they answer?  HA

No message just states texas on id call

The reason no one is there when you answer is because these agencies use a phone dialing device that dials between 3-5 phone numbers at a time.  The first number to  pick up gets the "human", the rest nothing.  Lesson: he who hesitates....keeps their money!
