Just got a call from Bridgit, credit card services. Charles picked up my call. Told him I have cc debt of 9k @ 13.99%. He wanted # from back of card, said my daughter was out shopping with it. Tied him up as long as I could. It was fun leading him on. I have no debt!

This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line the pause or stop the recording and answer questions. They continue to violate the TCPA by refusing to provide a phone number when asked, and still further by hanging up when asked for a physical address - both of which they are required by the TCPA to provide if asked. Their recording claims that this is your second and final notification that you are eligible for discounted rates on your credit cards, and that it is urgent that you speak with them. This is clearly a scam, as 100% of legitimate companies would gladly provide address and phone number, but also because a decision like the one they are asking you to make will require research, decision time, and a call back. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information.

How to stop them.

They will NOT stop calling me! I press option 3 to be "removed" and nothing happens. I have pressed option 1 to speak to a rep and they hang up as soon as you ask to be removed. Ridiculous! I have reported them to the FCC.

They have called 24 times.  I did not answer any of them.  We need to not only pressure the FCC for enforcement, but congress and state legislators.  There needs to be a 20 year prison sentence for this kind of stuff but we will get nothing unless we put a lot of pressure on congress.  Maybe refuse donations and tell them it is because of the robo callers. Also this page needs to provide in the call type a SCAM call listing.

If they're calling on your cell, you can go to your cell phone settings and add them to the black list. It won't prevent them from leaving you a voicemail, but it will stop the annoying ringing.
As for landline, you can file a complaint with consumer protection agency.

Calls no messages left.  I have an iphone so I just blocked the caller after reading all of these.  I don't give out my cell, so I don't know how they got the number.  So frustrating.
