Caller ID:  Name Not Found      Called today  4/28/2014 at 6:05 PM.

Name not found 985-523-5016...called today, silent on other end.

Called and left no message.  An internet search on this number shows it's a telemarketer.  I've now "call blocked" this number.

This number just called me, saying he was from IT and that my computer is sending out virus's. Of course for a nominal fee, they can help me fix my computer. I just hung up on them. Old scam.

Just called my number and nothing but silence on the other end.

Called a few minutes ago and just silence on the other end.

I WAS GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN WITH THIS!

Indian fellow, "Adam", called and said I had a computer problem...  Asked me to run "eventvwr";  I took about 30 minutes to do this, he had to walk me through it twice!  Since this is actually my work computer, I was asked for an admin password (and had to admit to him that this was my company computer.)  That seemed to stump him, and after a long hold, he dropped the call.  I was all set to tell him it belonged to the FBI (or FTC, or whatever would sound the best.)  Too bad...

Who called me

An guy with India accent called and said "I am calling from an IT department. you computer have problems, ok?". I responded a firm "No". He paused for two seconds then said "what do you mean by saying no?". I started pressing him by asking him where was he calling from and what was his name? He then hung up the phone. A typical scam call.    

Same old scam new number… It's a shame they tell you that you've been hacked when your computer doesn't even run the software they are talking about!! Stumps them every time.

Close the borders physically and electronically.

I tell these scammers that I am an FBI  ( meaning Full Blooded Irishman}  always works as they hang up

Haha got the call today, best part is I'm an IT professional. This seemed to agitate the caller, when pressing him, he decided that I should "go f*** my Mum" several times or something along those lines and whenever I pushed him more it became "blah blah blah blah"

I'm still chuckling about it now, it's the good old fashioned scam.

Got this called today stating I had a problem with my Microsoft software being compromised.  He claimed to be with PCSpeedy and when I told him I did not trust him he got very irritated and asked me why I had wasted his time.  I just hung up on him.   The caller I'd said Louisiana call.

after getting so many calls from this number and checking it on this board, i know answer the calls, FBI Special Agent Gomez....it's fun to hear them stammer after that....

Call from 985-523-5016 at 6:48pm EDT on May 6, 2015.  A woman with a heavy accent claiming to be from "Hewlett Packard Server" something-or-other claimed our "IP address has been compromised and is being used by a European computer".  Apparently she didn't expect to reach someone who knew the first thing about networking.  I strung her along, trying to get information.  She just continued to read from her script without missing a beat; apparently they'd thought of an answer for every question the non-network-savvy might ask.  I finally got tired of wasting my time and told her to "get to the point.... what are you selling or trying to steal?" and she hung up without another word.
