I have received a couple calls from this number with person with "Indian accent" "babbling" something about being from "Windows".... and that my PC was sending out msgs and was likely "infected"... I informed the caller that I record all calls, I  asked what company he was from and finally he said from UTH based in London.  I asked what IP address they were monitoring that they said is from my PC (of course they could not provide this info)... I asked if they had contact info from US... He stated YES and provided me the following phone number.  510-926-9043.  I asked him to repeat it (even thought I had already written down the first number).  The next number he provided was 510-926-9047.  I told him I was going to conf them in.  He wanted to take control of my PC first (which I stated was not going to happen until I conferenced in his US contacts),  Then when he heard the dial tones and the phone ringing, he hung up.  I would love to nail these guys... Total scam... I am sure if I allowed control of my PC they would load real "Virus" software.  If anyone wants the actual call and may be able to track down the user based on info they provided I would be willing to share the audio file with you... My best guess is they are somehow associated with the 510-926-90xx number (tracked to Verizon Wireless Cell service in Berkeley California).  I was not going to pay for a report that would list the current owner of 510-926-90 (43 or 47) but if someone else has "free" access to this data I would be curious who owns those numbers.  That would be a good place to start since I took him by surprise and he was quick to repeat the 510-926-90 (but hesitated with the last 2 digits)...

This person called us twice today, at 4:32 PM and 8:00 PM. My experience has been that calls with the name of a city and state are scams. Did not answer, and the person calling did not leave a message. This number is now blocked.

Got a call at 11:00pm on a Wednesday from 989-621-5106 Mt. Pleasant MI. An eastern Indian man was telling me I had an infected computer. I first asked him if he knew that it was 11 at night and if he were from windows they would not be so stupid to call me knowing the time in my area.  I also told him I would call windows in the morning. He starts to yell at me that he is from windows.  I asked him why the hell was he yelling at me and he said because your computer is infected.  Told him to remove my number and hung up.

It is 6:50 am here in AZ & I just got the same call from a man with an Indian accent, I gave him no information, told him I knew he was a lying hacker and told him not to call back. I believe I'll be sending an email out to all my friends & family & posting a warning regarding this to my fb page.

Geez - after 10 pm man with Indian accent called from  989-621-5106, who was clearly in a call center (lots of noise of people talking in the backgrond) with same story of being from Microsoft telling me that my computer is infected. I listened for a minute incredulously, and when he finished with requesting that I go to my computer and work with him to fix the virus, and I said nothing, he said, "ma'am? ok ma'am?" I told him in a very sad voice how sorry I am for him to have to be doing this job, that no one from Microsoft would be calling me after 10 pm nor would they operate that way to fix any technical problem - virus or other, and that I am quite offended that whoever hired him would think people would be so gullible as to let a stranger have access to their computer without knowing them. He actually persisted, trying to convince me of his legitimacy. What do people get paid to do this kind of thing? This is a sad, sad realization for me that this operation exiists. Sigh.

Caller, heavy Indian accent, claims to represent MS Window tech support calling in response to reported problems with computer.  Wants to install software to combat Malware.  Sales pitch follows.  They are most definitely not associated with Microsoft.

I've gotten two calls this week, after 10PM, with a woman with an Indian-sounding accent saying she's calling from "Windows".  I told her to remove me from their list (in any case, I've "blocked" their number from being able to call me again).
