This number called us- a person with a heavy accent said he was calling about 'the problem with your computer' that we supposedly notified someone about.

This just happened to me.  He said he was from Microsoft technical support, or something like that.  He said he didn't actually work for Microsoft, though.  He said my computer requested that he call me, which is funny because we no longer have any Windows computers. He said his name was Brad, and he said he was half Indian, from New Delhi, and half American.

They just called me to support my WINDOWS 95 COMPUTER!  I and most of the world haven't had that OS for 20 years! Come on prople, come on!

Received a call telling me that I had problems with my windows computer. I replied back "What is a windows computer? He hung up.

I  get calls about my computer 2 to 2 time a week and even at 11:30 at night. the say they are microsoft.

I get 6 to 8 calls a week from this group. They use different numbers, and as soon as I block one number, they come back using another one. I recently told one of the callers that I was sick of them calling and that I knew it was a scam, he yelled at me to "Shut Up"!!! I suppose that being yelled at in an East Indian accent should have made it more entertaining, but it didn't. Plus, they still called back within a few hours.

This guy has called me numerous times. I hung up and he called me back! To argue with me! This is a SCAMMER!

I also just got this call, matched perfectly all the other comments above.  heavy accent and all!  I asked how would i know he really was from Microsoft, so he back peddled explaining he was in tech support contracted to Microsoft.  He wanted me to go to my computer and look at my computer log so he could show me the infected files that had been downloaded and tell me what to do about them. My daughter later suggested maybe he would have had me go a a website to download something to fix the problem, and the download would actually be the problem.  I asked for a phone # I could call his company to verify and he hung up.

Same thing here but at 7a.m.- a woman with indian accented English claiming to be "windows technical support calling about a problem with your computer". Lots of background noise as though she was calling from a call center. Immediately launched into "are you the primary owner of this computer" at which point I hung up.

Foreign (no name), heavy accent caller from 989-641-6022 stating I had a problem with my Windows computer and proceeded to guide me through a series of steps to clear up 'leakage' of my personal information. When I told the caller I would get my computer servicing technician to check it out there was a flurry of words to hold me to allow the caller to 'help' me and all the necessary 'fixes' would be taken care of if I would follow his guidance. I ended the call.

Scammer/Thief - Just wants your credit card number!

I had time to amuse myself so I went along for a while.  Here's a YouTube link that someone else did just in case you think you've missed something by not taking the call.  He's asking you to give him complete access to your computer.  What could go wrong?

I have had three calls from this number, saying my computer was sending viruses, and microsoft needs to fix my computer.  After saying I had nothing wrong with my computer, I hung up.

Got a call from this number saying my computer was infected wouldn't give me the number to call back must be a scam

These idiots called last night at 1130PM to tell me that Windows was infected on my computer. After I told them it was against the law to call this late, again they repeated my computer was infected. I laughed said thats funny I dont own a computer, they hung up.  Scammers!!  

Got a call from this number late at night. Told him I was in bed and not to call me again! We will see if he does

Nothing but noise and can't research on White Pages

I got a call at 11:30 pm from some foreigner that said he was calling on behalf of Windows Microsoft and I had a lot of corrupted files on my computer. I was scared because usually when you get a call at that time of night, it's bad news...I thought something bad had happened to a family member, but it was those nitwits! My husband took the phone from me and told them to never call our house again or he'd file harassment charges (I don't know if you can, but it was a great threat as they hung up)!

Oh yes....I blocked their phone number through Cox's call-blocking service and I also went to this website:: http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx and filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission. I made sure to document the phone number that called me. Hopefully they can find the culprits and prosecute them...I hope, anyway!

I received a call and he said he was a Microsoft Teck Rep calling to inform me I had a malicious virus in my computer. This is a SCAM so do not believe him if you get this call. He is actually from a company in India that offers very expensive computer fixes...fixes that are unnecessary!

Same as others. Have received repeated calls from this "Microsoft" computer support. Spam.
