Stated that there was a problem with my computer and was I in front of it. Told her I didn't have one, that I was recording the call and did this mean that they were sending me one and she hung up. (I had heard of the scam so I was ready)... Don't give them any computer info or do anything they ask!

Asian sounding lady wanted to tell me something about my computer. What was I seeing? What was beside the CTRL key? When I said ALT, she hung up. I had already done a reverse look up of the number, knew it was a scam, & don't even own a PC, but was trying to see where she was going with this...

Received the same type of calls as above.  The male I spoke with was very hard to understand so I hung up.  They have called back 3 times!

This phone number has been hacked by scam people with foreign accents trying to fix your infected computers.

Have received many calls from this number.  Took the call today and they told me that they were Windows technicians helping to fix my infected computer.  The person had a thick Indian accent- difficult to understand.  This must be a scam.

Has to be a scam.  Asian woman asking if I am owner of the computer. We are a City Entity. She hung up after I told her that. Will report. This is the second call received. A man called about 2 wks ago.

This is a law office and I answer the pone "Good Morning law office" Asian woman telling me my computer has a virus and I need to follow her steps and get the sickness from my computer and she is calling from Windows Technical Service Department I asked her for her phone number so I could call our IT Technician and she said your IT Tech take care of hardware we take care of software please do as I say.  Told me her name is Janet and her call back number is 820-459-9261 thanked her and told her the Oklahoma Attorney General's office will return her call and of course she hung up.  Problem is someone out there will believe her and hand over the computer info

Said my computer was being hacked, called my house 3 times and when I tried to answer she hung up! Is there anything we can do

Just got the same call.  I knew what was going on because I had gotten the same type call last year.  She said she was the authorized service provider for windows.  I ask her how she got my name and she said when we bought the computer it was in the records.  I haven't had a PC in years.  I have a MAC.  I asked her the name of the company she was with several times and she just just repeated the same thing….authorized service provider for windows.  I finally said "What is the name of your company?  Who pays you?"   She hung up.  hahahahahaha

I received a call from 989-792-9494, which read "Arthur R. Sawyer" on the caller ID. The man speaking said his name was Peter Williams, and he claimed to be with the technical department at "Windows." He said after reviewing multiple reports from the Windows central server, he saw that my computer was infected with a Trojan-horse virus. He asked if I used the same internet connection for all of my computers, and I said I'd just have my husband look into the issue. At that, he hung up. I was unaware of this scam. Still, I'm very wary of strangers, particularly those calling who have my name and pretend to know about the electronics in my home.

i have experienced this person named "Arthur Sawyer" and associates. They nearly succeeded in getting money out of me. Luckily not. However some personal info was hacked from my laptop, right in front of me. I am dealing with the stress of having my father go thru stage 4 renal carcinoma, a friend with the same and his partner going thru stage 4 as well. I have just started a new course to renew a credential and this laptop was a gift from my dad to get back to university so I can get back to teaching. For such a great education, I feel pretty stupid.  Oh, and very Angry,,,

I received 5 calls from this number on January 08th. It was a scam. Don't talk to them. There was a women and a man both called. Both Asian sounding.

I also got a call from someone with an Indian accent (around 11:30 AM).  Once he said he was calling from Windows Tech Support, I interrupted him and said "oh really, because I work at Microsoft.  What department are you?"  He promptly hung up.  I am betting I am now on their do not call list since I would not fall for their scam.  Of course, I don't really work for Microsoft, but I also know that no one there would call the company Windows.

My father-in-law had stage 4 renal cell carcinoma and I'm very sorry you had to deal with something like this, especially while having to deal with your father's illness.   Your are in my thoughts and prayers!!

Also, please don't be too hard on yourself for being susceptible!  It can happen to anyone.

We've been getting calls from this number daily at my house! They seem to like calling at around 8 AM PST and are very hard to understand. I usually just hang up or not pick up the phone. It's extremely irritating.

These people keep calling like above 3 times a day (Indian voiced), windows support. etc. Microsoft doesn't call people i asked to speak to a supervisor, A guy with a fake British accent got on. I asked for employee id to consult Microsoft he got mad started cussing me out. also for that response he threat to shut off a PC in house. which was claimed to registered to someone long since passed.(they never used a PC)

These people call hoping to scam elderly and not PC savvy crowds scanning records and white pages .  Keep reporting till these people are traced and stopped

Got the same type calls as previously mentioned.   They have called three days in a row so I put them on my BLOCK CALL list.  Must be a scam.
