Call, 'supposedly' from Windows Server Support ... "Your PC is throwing up lots of errors - let me show you - hand over control to 'me' and I will fix it".  Yeah, right!!!!!

This SCAM has surfaced again - you hand over control and they INFECT your computer and RANSOM you to pay them to release it!

FIVE calls in 7 days ... are they STUPID.  Answered 2 of them and hacked them off after 15 minutes!

They have called nine times in the past week. Haven't answered them. My son picked up and they said my Windows computer was putting out malicious things and they would help fix it. I told him that was not true and my son hung up on them. It is clearly a scam to scare someone into letting them "fix" their computer.

I came home to 8 missed calls !!!!  OMG, it must be something REALLY important --- somebody was calling me every 30 minutes.   Turns out it is just some BS company trying to sell me virus protection for my "windows computer"

I apparently pissed them off by leading them on for over 30 minutes before informing them I was a windows Administrator and they were breaking the law.    It was quite fun "trying" to launch event viewer for 20 minutes.

Apparently they are going to shut off all of my computers in the next hour so I will have to purchase new ones.

This little schmuck called me early this morning and had the nerve to call me "baby" and then told me he was calling from Windows.  I threatened to report him to the Michigan Attorney General.  It's sad that there are some people out there who would fall for this cheap trick!!  Windows doesn't operate that way...

When I answered, the caller sounded like an India accent. He said he was windows server support. I asked what company. He responded, "No company, this is within your computer... windows server support." I laughed. He said, "Fxxx!" and hung up.

When they call tell them that you are glad they called because you have been have computer problems and would like their help. Then tell them "hold on a minute, I have to pick up the phone by the computer". Then just go have dinner or watch tv. This really pisses them off when they realize you are not coming back. Do it every time they call and they will eventually know not to call your number and you get some revenge in the mean time!

Pretty much the same story, I was told that when my PC downloaded a program it didn't do it right and that it was susceptible to being 'hacked'. I told him that no I thought that he was going to try hacking my PC and that wasn't going to happen. At that time he was in a hurry to get rid of me probably so he could move on to try and find a sucker.

8 calls in 3 days. I finally answered. As soon as they said the words, "your computer" I said I didn't have any computers, this is a scan and if they ever call me again I will report them!" His response was..." wooo" I hung up. Where can I report them?

Has called 5 times this week. My daughter told him not to call again and it was a scam. She was on the phone with him for 15 minutes yelling at him. He said I will call you everyday. She reported him to our local sheriff and told him that. I have spoken with him and told him to never call again. He called at 7:00 a.m. This morning. What can I do? I wish I could jump through the phone and punch him in his (broken English speaking) Middle Eastern Indian face.

Received roughly 8 calls from midland in the last week. My life insurance is with midland insurance, so on the 8th attempt I picked up thinking it was a sales call for me to renew my insurance.  A lady with a thick Indian accent said the PC I owned in my house was infected and I needed to go to my computer right so she could help me with removing the virus. She also said she was from Microsoft and knew the computer I was using. I knew this was a scam so I thought I would play along. I asked her what what make and model was my PC?  Long pause..."your computer needs fixing".  I then said I do not own a PC, I only own Macs. Long pause..."let me transfer you to our Mac help desk". Too funny.

Got a call today from a guy who stated he was from Microsoft. He stated someone was trying to hack into my pc. He almost got me with the scam. I did hear other call in the background. I text my computer tech who told me this was a scam. He told me to google the number on my caller ID. This is how I came to report this number. Do not answer this number.

Just lead them on if you have time, then block the call. I did the hillbilly routine on them this time. It came naturally. Dare not let them hijack your PC..

i told them I had an apple, he sounded confused so I told him I also have a banana which sent him into some X-rated rant. It ended with something about a goat. Wow what a laugh. It is sad that some people fall for this B.S. I just wish they would quit calling.

I received 3 calls this afternoon on my cell.   Claiming to help with my Windows problem.   Which they said is sending reports to them.   I told them my son-in-law is a computer science major.   They hung up right away, without saying goodbye.   How rude.  They spoke in a heavy East Indian voice.

The fact that it is not against the law to spoof a name and number for Caller ID is a disgrace.  This is a giant sweatshop in India someplace, but the number comes up from Midland, Michigan.  It's NOT.  It is in some f*ing sh*t-hole in India.

If our lazy-ass politicians would put some laws in place, fining and putting PHONE COMPANY executives in jail for letting thieves and criminals look like legitimate businesses, then we might see an end to this total BS.  The time wasted by all of us is a higher cost to the economy than the amount lost by the hapless fools and morons who fall for this crap.
