This was a legitimate call from Thoroughbred Research.  They were calling to follow up on a call I had made to the gas company regarding a gas emergency. They asked me if I would voluntarily do a survey based upon the customer service I received. They were very courteous and it took only 10 or 15 minutes, and I wanted to give the feedback

If someone doesn't answer, you shouldn't continue calling them over and over. You're interrupting my meeting. Leave a voicemail if you want something and stop being a nuisance

They call, say nothing, I forward to my phone company as harassing call and soon the enforcers will be calling them and asking them to talk and maybe remove their phone privileges for a few years.

Then I would be worried if they were spoofing my company number.  I would have it investigated as your future business depends on how your company is perceived by these phone calls to us.

Honestly it is the nature of the business. Telemarketers have ruined a lot of peoples opinions of anyone calling unannounced. If you are tired of being called, just answer the phone or calls us back and ask us nicely to remove your number. Should be off the list in no more than 72 hours. We rely on a computer dialing system, which are not always the most reliable- but we can check to see how many times you were called to verify if there is a problem. We will work with anyone who talks to us, we don't want anything from anyone but their opinions.. We do customer service, and call follow ups for companies you may have dealt with or your number was randomly generated, most companies want the opinions of everyone across the board - from 18-100+, male or female. We try to respect your privacy and all info is submitted anonymously - we will never ask for your SSN, if someone ever does..call our main number.

So basically, if you truly wish us to stop calling, just ask- and verify the number we reached you at, if anyone is rude or unprofessional at anytime - Let us know.
We have not been around as long as we have by being rude to people we call.
If you are a business and we are calling during business hours- it is probable that we are verifying information for a company you work with. Some of these clients do not want us leaving voice-mail. So that would be why we don't leave messages. If we are calling at night and it's your business number- again let us know- it does from time to time happen and like I said we do not wish to upset anyone.

We are not a scam- we do legitimate work - for legitimate companies. as I have continued to say- if you have any questions you may email us or call us. all information you need is located at http://www.torinc.net

I am tired of having unwanted calls invading my home.  I do not pay to have a phone in my home to be questioned by strangers.  In this day and age, the less people outside my circle of family and friends know about my life, the better.  I have already had my identity stolen by someone 3,000 miles away just because they made up a SS# to put on a form that was my valid SS#.  Next thing I know my phone is being used by collection agencies to call and threaten me on bills I did not have any idea were out there.  These bills had nothing to do with me.   Suddenly, I was no long me, but Maria Gomez from California. Leave people alone, everyone should keep all info about themselves as private as possible.  In the last two days, thoroughbred Research has called my number 3 times while I was away from home.

Receive calls from this number all the time, however, the person claims to be from The BlueCross Blue Shield Association. We have asked several times to be taken off this list. We are a busy office and do NOT do phone surveys. We have also contacted our BCBS Provider Relations team regarding this matter.

OK, Thoroughbred Research Group, I see you have replied in this page a couple of times.

Please explain why you call our phones, then drop the call when we answer.  If you are serious about wanting to be able to reach us, adjust your computer-predictive-dialer so you can actually pick up when we do.

You complain above that telemarketers are giving you a bad name. Sorry, but you are doing it yourselves with your dial then drop practices.

Well...  Wonder of wonders.  Their main number is 502.276.5503  and they actually answer in the evening.

If you get a dropped call, call their main number and ask them to adjust their predictive dialer.

We never ask anyone for any personal information. The reason the line may go dead when you answer could come from telephone difficulties or our auto dialer may have cut you have depending on the number of times the phone has rang. As for calling when you aren't at home; it is ignorant for anyone to assume we could possibly know when you are home in order to call.

We do not sell anything. Also, this is our job.We aren't associated with any of the products you are asked about. The people who call you are just doing their job as many of you do every day. And also as anyone else who has to work with people, things are always easier if everyone is polite. There is no reason to cuss or be ugly to someone who is doing their job. In fact, its ignorant. Many people are very polite and even enjoy our brief surveys. We call about companies you are associated with. It is your way of giving input to American Exceptionalism, customer service, and products. Don't complain about this "day in age" if you aren't willing to give your opinions are how to fix it. Thank you.

Actually, we're trained to let the phone ring 4 times and automatically hang up. Any hang ups are done accidentally. Sometimes it's hard to tell between when an answering machine first picks up or a person. Each individual person calls hundreds of numbers in a day. We're bound to mess up some, huh?

Sometimes people amaze me. I mean honestly, I'm a real person, and when you treat me like a frackin recording then it kind of gets upsetting after the first 50 people cuss you out for ASKING WHAT RADIO STATIONS YOU LISTEN TO. Like, seriously. I don't choose what numbers I dial or when I call or even what I say. So when you tell me to leave you alone, or stop calling or get a "real" job, then you need to think about what if somebody said that to you?
