There was a threatening voice on the line that told my 79 year old grandmother that she had better be in the office the next day or she would be in seriou trouble I tried to call the number back a couple of times but it always said that the number was out of service.

these people have to be stoppped! I am not the person they are looking for i have just got my new number b/c i just moved to the area. I wish someone knew the address to this office i would walk in and give them a piece of their own DAMN medicine.

This comp called me today and read my whole social over the phone to me and a man on the other end told me i needed to get a attorny.... The man was rude and to top it all off when i called the number back it said no longer in service! How can they call me and then there number not be  in service no wonder i hate avon now....... Talk about bad for bussiness and i will tell my family to quit buying avon as well. How can i pay the debt when i never knew there was a open account in my name??????

Bootom line is it is a 3rd party collection agency. They think they can pretty much say anything to scare you into paying them. It is ALL a bluff. The only "decision" that they are capable of making is to try to call you again tomorrow. They are bullies, but being 3rd party and not working for a major company they are pretty much allowed to say whatever they want. I would just ignore them. Everyone hates collectors...I know that, I am one. But I collect on auto loans for a HUGE company so when I call you have a little more to lose then just your mind over their nasty messages. Just remember you can answer and say this is your place of employment and you want NO MORE CALLS to that number. By Law, they can not call you again. And if they do, that would be when I would contact an attorney...And not to get help with their stupid company. Also all you have to say is you know the FDCPA...That makes them a little nervous and they will rethink what they say next time.

we continue to get calls from 281 214 1203 and get a recording and a hang up, we do not owe anybody and want this  to stop, THIS IS VERY IRRITATING, THEY JUST GIVE A CALL BACK NUMBER SO FAINT YOU CAN'T QUITE HEAR IT.

They've changed their outgoing trunk line. Sunday (11/01/09) afternoon I received a call from 713-481-1844 using the same tactics. When I returned the call to 800-275-7176 as instructed, the VM stated it was Allied Data Corporation.
They're obviously a business with which you should use extreme CAUTION.

I got a call from the number 281-214-1203 and ignored it, letting it go straight to voicemail. I have done this many times over the past week or two, this is the first time that there was a voicemail to listen to. When I called and listened to it the voicemail was a gentleman speaking in spanish, 90% of what I heard and understood (I don't speak any spanish, took Spanish for 1 year in high school about 15 years ago) was a bunch of numbers. It didn't sound like a phone number because it was more than 10 numbers, but not sure without knowing fast talking spanish and writing it down.

I call the number back and it says no longer in service, How do we report this? I am on the national do not call service! They tried to get me to lower my interest rates on my credit cards. I do not have a credit card. When i say this they hang up and call back within minutes.

Ha I just called ext 609 and told them" this is an attempt to collect a debt bla bla bla" The lady laughed and hung up on me. i kept calling 609 and they finally took my number off. I think it was when my wife sold avon. They think she owed her money. I called up and acted like i did not know who she was and it was a new phone and asked nicely to have my number removed. THEY REMOVED MY NUMBER FINALLY THANK GOD!

This recording originates from Allied Data Corporation. They are a debt collection agancy. They are the typical bottom feeders one finds in this kind of business. Generally, they will leave a message to call back at a number where a live bottom feeder will take the call.

A debt collection agency is required to identify themselves as such. I have filed a complaint with the Texas AG's office, but they are little better than this group. Even though they are calling about a former owner of this number, I cannot get them to stop calling.

keep receiving calls from this number and as soon as i answer they hang up. I tried calling back and it said number is disconnected.

Just got a call from this number tonight...  call back # is 800-275-7176 ext 3407.  it was an "actual" live person threatening me that if i didn't call back within 24hrs.. me or my attorney that she would take that as my answer and then she would proceed with a recommendation to file against me in my county(she knew the county i live in)  She said her name too but no way in hell could you understand what she said.   She didn't say what company she was from just gave me a file #.  I say bring it on!  Go ahead and file... i already have plenty of other crap...

I've been getting these calls with the same problem as everyone else. It's a huge scam guys. If more than one person is saying the same thing...then it's a scam. Don't answer it and if you can, block their number. If you owe someone a debt I'm sure you'd know the company calling you and receive something in the mail..it won't be so confusing if you actually owe someone something.
