This is Intellinet Global Services, possibly an overseas call center (India) for debt collection.

These people call my mom seven days a week.  Sometimes two times a day.  I don't know who they are trying to collect the money for.  But I do believe this is harrassment.  I have never heard of a collection agency calling seven days a week!

I finally got fed up yesterday and asked for the caller's name (it's the same person because I know his voice now) and he told me his name was Steve Johnson (doesn't sound like he's American).  I asked for his supervisor's name and he hesitated for about five seconds and then said that his supervisor was Ms. Valentine.  I called the number this morning and he introduced himself as Sid Matthews.

This company is not on the level.  They need to be put out of business.

Intelenet global Services is the name he gave me for the business.  He won't talk to me unles I tell him my name.  I refuse,and he won't say why he is calling.  He sounds Indian.  He calls 2 to 3 times a day, every day.

I was left a message on my answering machine to call this number.  I haven't called it, but I don't have anything in collection either. They did not state the company name nor the business they have with me. I've had several numbers come up with the New York name.  My parents have been getting the same thing.

I got a phone message from this phone number.  It starts from saying that "The purpose of this call is classified for your security reason" and it says to return the call within 48 hours.  I am glad I checked this site first. I am not going to call them back.

I have called them 5 times and told them to remove me from their list and they say my number is not in their database. THey tell me that the calls will stop and they have not stopped.

they keep calling me - it started the day I had a new number installed from time-warner - which puzzles me - I didn't even know the new number yet.  I checked whitepages.com and then typed a google of their number.  Caller ID just shows NEW YORK NUMBER.  But I am going to check with Time-Warner to find out how they got my number so quickly...truly a pain.

This number is constantly calling my office number.  Usually a man speaking broken english saying this phone call is for a personal matter.  I had told him if it was a personal matter, he needed to call me on my personal phone.  He then asked me for my Social Security Number to verify it was me and I said no, and immediately hung up on him.  I have read they were a collection agency, but I know that I do not have any outstanding debts.

I get this message alot on my home machine in NYC. It definitely sounds like a scam because
- no company name is mentioned in the message
- no name is given for who they are trying to contact
- they keep long hours(M-F 8-10, S-S 9-8) (according to the message)
I don't think it's a collection agency because I don't owe anyone. It's probably a scam to get personal information from unsuspecting people. Systematic identity theft.

Am sick of getting these calls constantly.  Been going on for months.  I called back once and told them to take my number off their list and they said they would but still have not.  I just let them leave a message. There must be a way to stop these idiots.

i received the same message on my phone today, saying it was a personal matter of security. they did not identify their reason for calling or from what company. when i called the number back it had some bogus sounding answering machine.  i'm glad i looked this up. companies like this make it hard for companies who are calling on a legitimate matter. most people won't call back fearing it's a some sort of scam.

Intelenet Global Services is a bottom-feeding Texas-headquartered Mumbai-based third-party debt collection telemarketing firm owned by the illustrious private-equitgy behemoth The Blackstone Group. It specializes in telephone  harassment -- two or three times daily over months, usually from India -- to collect lapsed or bogus 'debts' (in our case the latter), refusing as a matter of standard practice to provide any documentation about these alleged debts. Among their many persistent violations of the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act are the refusal of callers to identify themselves by name or to provide any information about Intelenet, including its mailing address, or about the alleged creditors. Caller ID#s are local-area-code fakes.  Business numbers provided include 866-234-0587 and 866-350-8355. Report them to the  FTC! And complain directly to:

but they are calling because we have used the service nd paid off the dime.

I am getting the calls on my Cell Phone, which happens to be with Verizon.  In reading these info sites, these phone numbers are from MCI (or Verzion now).  I have to wonder if there is some information loss from Verizon.

It would appear that the scam is part of the Blackstone Group, who owns Intelenet Global Services Private Ltd.

The number 212-295-3509 is the caller ID #, the phone # is a MCI World Comm in New York City, New York. They give a call back # 866-350-8355.
When calling this # a man with an India/Hindu accent answers he does not give name of company but insist on giving him the phone # that a msg was received. I did not give any info just then hung up. However they call my cell ph 2x a day. <<<< LOOSERS!!! >>>

This place calls me CONSTANTLY.  Seven days a week, at least once every day.  I called back privately and the guy still knew my name and what number I was calling from.  Creepy.  He said he was calling to collect $300 for Verizon.  I have NEVER had an account with Verizon.  I told him to never call my number again or the next call he gets will be from my lawyer.  He kept talking but I hung up on him.  They are really annoying!

I'm having some nice experiences with these people. They want my bank routing number to my checking account. AND, the collection is for $33.72 for a place called DTE Energy from get this, June 06, 1999. Yea right. And to make matters more shady, the guy, whom name is HARRY who speaks with a thick Indian accent, said, if I pay right now, he'll take my bill down to an even $25.00.

now, this screwball has my ss number, the whole thing. Not sure how that happened. Has this happened to anyone else?

A bill-collector ID'ing itself as "Blackstone Group" is also using 877-622-3290.
