I have a verizion cell phone , I am getting Im,s from this 000-000-0086-and 777-000-0001 and other 000 numbers every tIME i call veriziion about it they hang up on me , So they are fully aware what is going on, they aRE making millions on scamming people , there are hundrend of complaint on line people trying to get them to stop and you ask them to stop it and it only get worst who would have your pass code on your phone verizion, you can run these numbers threw phone look up,

I just got my Verizon bill; 39 pages long, littered with this number. I crapped when I saw it was over $400. These a**holes need to be executed live on pay-per-view.

The calls you are seeing with 000-000-0086 are for checking your voice
mail messages from this handset. Since April 1, 2004, accessing your
voice mail by dialing your ten-digit wireless number from your wireless
phone will count toward your standard airtime usage and not a free or IN
Network call. Please note: A call to your voice mail box is not an IN
call, as you are not actually calling another Verizon Wireless
customer.

You may still access your voice mail messages airtime free by calling
from a landline phone. To access your voice mail from a landline phone,
please dial your ten-digit wireless number, press "#" to interrupt the
greeting, enter your password, and then follow the voice prompts.

Next, for the 777-000-0001 calls, when using data products and services
such as Get It Now, Mobile Web, Picture and Video Messaging, and
National Access, the phone numbers (777) 000-0001, (000) 000-0000, or (000)
000-0001 will appear in the "Usage detail" section of your statement.
This number signifies airtime that was used by data applications.

I didn't know what that number signified either...what a rip off.  
That really irritates me- why pay for getting the messages if you can't access them.  Who knows when they will get back to their landline phone in some cases.  Needs to be investigated.

This call began about 6-7 weeks ago. It does not matter who answers he wants his number They always ring 2 times not enough to get it. It stops about in the middle of the 3nd one.

These calla started after I moved from the PA  family and I lived in, . I hesitated at first because he is a DOCTOR and in our society we don't question them. You should, I know you would He would leave things down to emtice rhe thr cake but not I won't add to this screwed up picture.

I think it's funny that all of a sudden my bill jumps from the $39.99 plan to over $200.00. When I finally sat down & viewed my calls  I am being charged a little over $15.00 from the ooo-ooo-0086 number and loosing over 134 minutes because of it! I also noticed I'm being charged for calls I never made, one of them being a 704 number.
When I called the 0086 number, it just kept repeating the word "operator" over & over again- wtf!

I retired from Verizon after 30 years and just discovered the RIPPOFF of retrieving messages using your cell phone.    It should be free to retrieve messages. Use a landline to retrieve your messages,

I am noticing this number on my billing and using my minutes up. How do I stop this.

Since verizon has bought alltel I am extremely unsastified with their crap.....I never signed a contract with verizon and I never gave alltel permission to sale me......therefore I conclude that they both can kiss the rosy red cheeks.......lol

Instead of bickering in a forum and not getting any results why don't we all sue them point blank. I get the same crap including other crap and I can't tell you how many times I've sure them.

In the end they will fall just like The Old Roman Empire. Just keep watching.

I just actually got off the phone with Verizon before reading all of your postings.  I was calling to block the number which they did.  If they tell you it is for calling VM, the are BSing you.  I have three lines.  One is my fathers and he only uses it for emergencies.  He has no idea as to how to get his messages if he has one.  There are more than five calls on my bill with this 000-000-0086 number but he ahs only made two calls for the past month.  Go figure.  When I asked them how to track down who was behind this number they told me that there was no way that they could do this and that they could block the number for me.  So, does this mean I now can no longer check my voicemail?  My next step is to file a complaint with the AG office and the Better Business Bureau.  If not results come from this, it is lawsuit time!

I agree that this is a load of crap. They charge you for accessing your own voicemail that is part of your plan. WTF, I had 42 minutes worth of charges and they even charged me for data that I don't even have. I called about it and they said they would shut that off. Why the hell was it accessable through my phone when I don't pay for it. I will be contacting the AG and filing a complaint. I will also be breaking my contract since they have already broken it.

I too, reiceved a bill with this phoney number verizon uses to rip off it's customers. When I called to complain, they said it was on my last months bill and I paid it so it must be mine. Of course they don't send you a copy of your charges so how would you know. If you ask for a copy they charge to send it to you. I caught this phoney number, this time, because it put me over my minutes. I will be breaking my contract with this dishonest carrier and telling everyone about the experience. The more customers they lose the better. They are not the only game in town.

I had Alltel for 5 years, got a new phone 3 months before Verizon broke the news that they bought Alltel now for the first time in 18 years of cell phone usage I am getting charged for going over my minutes because of this crap 000-000-0086 number BS!

Don't know what this number is!

Just got off the phone with verizon. I have a $19.35 charge. I do not know where this is coming as I only call verizon numbers from my verizon phone. They tell me they cannot tell me over the phone a list of numbers from my bill. Even after I gave them my account password. Isn't that what verizon billing is for?
They tell me I must view it online for "liability issues." What kinda crap is that. So after calling them back trying to get the damn thing reset online. I had to wait forever for the system "to accept my information". Only to find out the charge came from this so call phone number 000-000-0086. $19.35 for one damn phone call. Going to call them back again to tell them I'm pissed!

Yeah, let me know how that lawsuit goes.  lol
