2 calls in last few days, could hear voices in background.

my mum got a call that she didn't take and when she checked who called, the number left was 0002

what kind of a number is this?

Just answered the phone to this number, its some guy claiming to be from technical support for windows xp advising you of files corrupting your hard drive. I asked him how do you sleep at night after conning innocent people?
Whatever you do, DO NOT do anything to your pc/laptop if they call. Its a scam to hack your computer

Hopefully, anyone with Caller Display will realise from this silly number that it is a scam.  These rats have more fake numbers than a dog has fleas.  They make all sorts of claims about being Windows (they don't realise it's an O/S not a company), or Microsoft.  All lies, of course, as neither Microsoft nor its legitimate partners ever 'phone.  They rely on scare tactics and lack of computer knowledge to try and get remote access to the computer.  If they get it they will install spyware/malware, to steal personal information like bank details and passwords. Never, ever, give remote access to your computer to anyone who cold calls you, it's like giving your wallet to a stranger in the street.  No-one who 'phones knows anything about your computer.

How do these people get your number anyways??

There is a large black market for the sale of personal information.  Some people have complained about getting lots of calls after using comparison websites.  There is also the 'phone book and the electoral rolls.  Recently there have been fake surveys, asking what kind of washing machine you have or who your gas/electricity supplier is.  These are just a means of tying up names, addresses and "live" telephone numbers, which are then sold on.  Best of all is the discovery last year that employees of some Indian call centres used by UK companies were stealing and selling our info.  As you can see, the list is endless.

All week had these calls 1 a day but no-one speaks fed up with them but good point about the surveys I have answered one's about washing machines etc not no more

i keep getting an 0002 number phoning me and would like to know who they are

this 0002 number is a different one about microsoft that i have been getting about 1-2 times a week. the last time they called i told them in in certain words what i thought of them so they are now trying it on a 0002 number

I just received a call from a friendly African fella from 0002 windows. As soon as I mentioned he was calling a police station, he must've thought our own IT dept could fix it as he put the phone down.

Go Car Warranty called me from 0002. I was expecting a call from them, but I kept ignoring the call, so they approached me in email telling me they are the one calling from 0002.

Just got a call from 0002476998707 scam

Have had numerous calls from this number over past few days, with 5 calls today alone. Told them I was dead each time and to remove the number from their list but keep calling back. It is really getting on my effin nerves!

If this number rings my house again I will track them down & punch someones lights out. They are an f@@@ing nuisance & do.nit undersrand GO AWAY YOU ARE RINGING A PERSON WHO DOES NOT LIVE AT THIS ADDRESS.  I am TPS registered but makes no  difference so the referees whistle will be used next time

They phone from 0002 and told me to go on my laptop .The enquires will crash my computer and I did what they told me.At the end they want you to pay a once off payment of R2 000 for a years fee to keep the computor virus free. Now my laptop is crash.

They keep on phoning .The number is today 017. They phone from the technical department from Helc Security. I used my whistlle and try to burst her eardrum.
