- bobster55| 2 repliesThis is the number given after dialling 1471, when I ask to return the call - phone automatically dials 14713. Numerous daily calls from this number, line goes dead on picking up the phone.
- warncol replies to bobster55| 1 replyI've been getting the same calls, but missing them for weeks. On the rare occasions when I've answered, there's been nobody there. However, a few minutes ago, I answered, and after a few seconds, an indian sounding guy came on the line, and knew my surname. He said he was from an online pc doctor ringing about the problem I was having with my windows operating system. I asked what problem I was supposedly having, and he hung up. Seems like the into line for some kind of scam to me.
- HuuGI'm from Holland
I did not answer the call.- Caller: ???
- MogsyI've just missed a call from this number but didn't do anything about it apart from checking the number on the net - where i came across this site - re "warncol's" comment I suspect they are probably correct as my parents-in-law were nearly caught out by a scam recently (and even stayed on the phone for 2 hours until the point where they asked for the credit card!) - please see link below to gardian article (which although nearly a year old has all the details of the scam which is still taking place!!!

- Rich| 1 replyI've had calls from this 001023456789 and 00123456789 does anyone know what it is??
- SheilaBe very careful, DO NOT ever do what they tell you to do on your computer, they take it over completely and hack all the details from it. I am receiving these calls too and like you an Indian lady was speaking to someone else and disconnected it as soon as I said hello. It happened again this morning, but this time I did not speak first so he/she disconnected.

- BongoI'd like to thank all the above commentators for their input as well as the person who placed this site. It is assuring to be able to put a telephone number that you wonder about (because they phone but do not speak) in a 'Google' search and get an answer to the mystery. FYI: I have just received a call from this number but when I answered no-one was there! I know about 6 months ago my wife received this kind of message. We did realize it was a scam.

- Skattiecat replies to fooling scammersI keep getting calls from this number as well, male Indian sounding voice said I have a problem with my computer. I Keep telling him I have not got a problem with my pc but I still keep getting the calls - Cant seem to get rid of them
- ShazBI have been receiving calls also from 001002. Yep you all got it an Indian gentleman telling me I have a problem with my PC, yeah right. I have been in touch with Microsoft who took details and told me to ignore them as they were a scam as Microsoft would not contact me in this way. Trouble is they keep trying since New Year the have phoned 18 times but I have only managed to speak to someone once. To whom I said that I was an IT tech and Microsoft credited to which he asked my works ref number to which I did not give but asked to be removed from their database and said that I would be contacting Microsoft to report this incident. He then put the phone down. So will now wait & see how many more times they ring, but if anyone has any idead on how to stop these calls it would be appreciated.

- MaryGot a call from a guy called Roger Williams (an Indian Guy) claiming to be from Microsoft. I asked him for a number so that I could call him back but he said he they were a large call centre and that wasn't possible - If it's a genuine company it's ALWAYS possible. Anyway I dialled 1471 after hanging up and the number he was calling from was 001002. Thank goodness I google this and got your website - thank you so much to everyone for their feedback and for whoever set up this website - I'm going to post on Facebook to remind all my friends to be vigilant with unknown callers!!!!!
