This (obviously spoofed) number called my TPS registered landline a couple of days ago and again this morning. When answered, a recorded voice says "goodbye" and the call disconnects. Presumably an auto-dialler, and judging by the fake number, probably a scam.

TPS is certainly  not the way forward in not receiving  cold calls. Especially  if there overseas.  Why not get caller I.d on your phone and any number you dont reconise  dont answer it. If everybody  done this then these scamming creature's  will go out of business.

I do have caller ID, and answered because I was curious to find out who they were and what their pitch would be.  Most calls of this type simply withhold their number, but I guess they are starting to use fake numbers to get past withheld number blocking devices/services without having to reveal their identity.

First post about was almost exactly 6 years ago, so they cannot be described as "just starting" something.

These claim to be talk talk technical department regarding virus downloaded onto laptop pure scam do not give them any details

A call from this number at 7am came to my parents' house? It was very strange. I didn't answer the call, but used the "last call" feature to get the number. I live in Ireland. Never heard such interational scam before- looking in the comments here.

A male saying that he was from British Telecomm,he wanted to know if I was connected to the internet.I replaced my receiver

Got three calls with suppressed number. A few seconds later, two call attempts with the displayed number 001111111111. Blocked the number in my Fritz Box immediatly - and now it is finished. ;-)

Now the start in Germany to call the people .

Eles ligaram aqui, 2 vezes hoje, Brasil.

They've called here, 2 times today, Brazil.
