I got a call this evening from this number saying they worked for a company linked to microsoft saying my computer had been sening error messages for 15 days and they could help me resolve them by logging onto certain websites they would take me through. i wasn't convinced so asked for more details he said his name was Neil Anderson (to me seems rather english for a foreign national by accent) his number was 0330010981 and the website was www.radiant.out.sourcing.com when i asked him where he was placed it sounded like buckingham palce when i asked again he said buckingham place. after the call i called 1471 and the number came up as 00120.... This call was from India.  There are so many numbers on this website relating to this scam that it is like an epidemic. What I am typing now I must have done 50 times over the past few weeks.
This scam was highlighted on "You've been Scammed", BBC1, 21st November.  These people will install spyware/malware on the machine if they are given remote access.  Any money they ask for to "fix" the nonexistent problems seems to be a diversion to hide what they are really doing.  The Director of Security for Microsoft stated, on the same programme, that neither Microsoft, nor its partners, would ever cold-call you.   It would be a breach of their privacy rules.

I have just had a phone call from 00120 regarding my computer. I could not understand all he was saying but I knew it was a scam from the moment he mentioned my computer.. So I asked him to send me all the details in the post and I will think about it, what happened then he slammed the phone down!! ha-ha
Something should be done over these scams as there are many people who will be taken in.

Seems these b===ers are working overtime, third or fourth call from the same bunch 00120, saying that I had been sued for £5000 , and that he was from the london court, makes me laugh, I just gave the [***] on the other end a good slagging, and put the phone down, but the persistent little bugger phoned again, so I asked to have it put in writing and gave a solicitors address not mine lets see how he handles that. They do not realise how dangerous these calls are, if it was an elderley person with heart problems, this could cause a pretty bad death, we must have some form of safegaurd built into our legal system to discourage this activity, and the government of india, which is where most of these calls seem to emanate from, must do their share as well and make it a jailable offence, then pehaps decent people would have some peace of mind, or better stil show me where they live, and I'll do the same to them, see how they like it.

As a call Agent working at WU, I can only state that this kind of bs is very hard to trace from our end... we usually only end up cleaning the damage after the information has been passed on already... Indian government is doing it's best to tighten up security on incoming transactions... problem is however that the pick-up people are not picking up the money in India... but in different countries spread all over the world... including for example thailand, vietnam, United Arab Emirates, Ghana and so on...

got this one today 02/01/2014 from number 00120655501 saying she was from windows (this time, had others) and my computer was infected and any emails I sent out would infect others! Oh no what can I do? She then talks me through how to get to my events log telling me they are faults? Quite strange because I had not even bothered turning the pc on. After about 10 mins I got fed up and told her I don't have a pc with that she said thank you goodbye ... Not really a lie on my part as I have three not one

Hi I am selling some things on a Greek site, and 2 days ago I get a text message from a "Christopher" from this number 0012012892827, saying they had seen mu advert and could I contact them by email to this address dominick-gennaro@outlook.com I went later to check out his email etc and we started the process of selling my things to him through PayPal. He sent me an email saying he had made a deposit into my account plus an extra amount to cover the fees and storage of delivery. What he did not tell me, was I was suppose to pay the 500 euro to Western Union, then send back to PayPal the receipt of payment before the funds could be released to me. When I told him I did not have the money, I got an email from PayPal and Western Union saying that if I did not send the money within 24 hrs then I would be taken to court and that the FBI had all my information. Having researched on google I found out that PayPal does not threaten you and neither does it do any business with Western Union. I sent off all the emails I had received to spoof@paypal.com and they replied that they were fake etc. Oh I forgot to mention that this man phoned me 4 times asking if I could find the 500 euro and he also sent me another email asking if I could at least find 250 euro I said no and told him I had reported him and then blocked him.

Hello Everyone! I have not received calls on my home phone, but on my Cell phone from the #00120.  If my phone is on, I have a special ring for unauthorized/unknown callers, so I just hit my DECLINE button.  You can set your phone up to reject receipt calls from this #.  I few months back, it was from a diff #, and I was able to finally talk to the the person on the other end. They claimed to be from some collection agency asking for someone who has NEVER had my # before.

I would suggest - Not Calling this # back, as you make obtain charges and the phone company hate to refund you credit as they will say "You made the call, therefore, you are responsible for it".  I know it's bothersome, but just Decline or Ignore the call.  If you are able to talk to someone tell them NOT to call you anymore, as your phone line is tapped into authorities who will investigate their calls.  Tell them anything to get them to stop calling you. Just a suggestion.
