10 calls in one day from this number I dont answer it and now its blocked but had another 13 calls since blocking

I received 3 calls in a row from this number this afternoon.

I didn't answer also. I tried calling back and heard a dead tone.

Isn't 001 an American number? I didn't answer as thought it was so suspicious!

Phoned my mobile. Come up as United States number. As I don't know anyone in America, I didn't answer.

My phone said this call came from USA but very suspicious not an English speaker possibly Indian,  Asian at least. wanted to know a lot of details about my post code which he already knew including my address number which he gave me and asked me to confirm.  Wanted information on credit card if I had one, was I a mortgage holder none of the information given.  At this point cut  him off, number now blocked. But this is the third phone call I have had from USA in two days from the same area code (225) but different numbers.  Highly suspicious.

At first glance  001 225 appears to be  the code for Louisiana, USA, but this is a fake number.  USA numbers show as 001 xxx xxx xxxx and the number given is one digit short.  Other sites report the caller to be an Asian male wanting to do a survey.  These are not real surveys, just a way of getting personal information to sell on to other cold callers and scammers.

As previous people have mentioned. This seems to be LA California? I have now blocked it on my mobile due to 10 calls in 24 hours. I answered twice however no one said anything?
Very strange.

Just had a call from this number. When I asked for the callers' name and company, he mumbled it very quickly and when into his sales pitch straight away. I asked him to repeat his name and company, at which point he became very abusive and almost threatening. It was quite upsetting.

Had 3 calls from this number now, but haven't phoned back

I have received about 12 calls in the last few days...  As others have said this number is not in the format of any USA number...one digit short.  Also I know of no-one who lives in Baton Rouge , Louisiana.  I have ignored them...if it was someone I knew they would have left a text message.   So I decided  ( before I found this website )...to now block the number ....

Have been called 5 or 6 times today

I'm not well, recovering from cancer & chemo, asked them politely to stop but are still doing it

I have had 8 calls in 2 days from this number . I haven't answered as I don't know the number but I have now another number 07951605142 which has phoned me 3 times but I don't answer

Persistent nuisance call who was extremely rude with demands and took a while to go away. Had wrong information I refused to update.

Rang my mobile and knew my name, called himself Alex. Asked him how an indian could have that name he hung up. Nice

The dialling codes means nothing - could be anywhere in the world!
Indian guy said doing a survey. Yeh, right. Asked him if he could see where the sun don't shine - told him to go there. LoL
