Bogus call

Called regarding wife's non-existent shares  in Elementis plc.

Said he was from "Brand Benson" and wanted to talk about a very old shareholding in CGI (that I haven't had for 10+ years, so their data is way out of date!); strung him along for about 4 mins until he got bored and hung up.  Shame!

Said he was from calling about an old shareholding in CEC.L which he said had morphed, but I knew had 'died'. Elaborated with a tale about a hostile take over. Before he got to asking for my bank details, I suggested he was in a boiler-room scam.  He then hung up. Should have played the turd on the line longer.

Just had a phone call from a guy claiming to be in America offering to buy some shares that I bought in 1994 & sold years ago. He knew name, address and the company - Schroder Japan Growth. The shares are £2. He was offering around £8 to £17. Scammer!

Rang about "Shares in CW Residential". Strung him along, until he asked for date of birth. Gave him 17/02/20 which he queried. He rang off after I told him that I assumed he thought I was born yesterday!

Obvious boiler room scam.

Called about shares in a company  'Gresham Computing' which I have owned long time back. The company is in  a taken over procee and they want to buy the shares. Unfortunately I have my email address.
