am TPS registered- seems they are using these numbers via voip services- it's the service providers providers anonymouse numbers who need to be stopped - voip stuff is causing thuis anonymous call stuff

I just received a call from the same indian person but having read so many comments in this site i am suprised why the authorities have not brought the responsible party to justice. There is a number and it can be traced by the police.

Got a call from this number on my landline today at 9pm. once i answeared it, no one spoke and I eneded up hanging up within 30 seconds.

Same thing happened - as soon as I answer, whoever it is hangs up.  Just makes you worried who it is as I have recently had the burglars and wonder if they just want to know if I was in.

Just had a call from this indian guy saying he was from National Accident Helpline after an accident I'd been in - I don't even drive. I told him it was a business line and asked him to remove it from his database at which point he hung up. I work in a large open-plan office area and over the following 45/60 minutes a further 23 phone calls had been received to other extensions in the area. I've reported it to the ICO (information commissioner's office), and I'd do the same if I was you. The more complaints, the more likely the ICO is to fine them - heavily!
