This is an obvious international SCAM caller from USA. I do not have any contacts in America. No message left call having been intercepted by phone blocker.

Since this phone number cannot exist in the North American Numbering Plan then this is not a call from the USA. Not even a good 1/2 effort try. Not sure what you have against the US but this attempt to disparage my country failed miserably. Bet you have failed at everything else in your life as well.

I have nothing against USA but a search suggested it came from the USA and due to other SCAMS with similar attributes have been logged , this may be a fake number that has been generated. Still the fact that it was blocked and logged but no message recorded say's  this is a SCAM to me and my fellow associates. Also as a senior engineer I must be a failure in your eyes.

Not a US number, so what search turned this up as a scam from the US?  What was the play of the scam that establish the attributes you mention? Language is a big tell on scam location for example. Also the type of scam tends to be a tell.

Goodness knows the US can scam with the best of them, but is unusual that US scammers spoof numbers to be used outside the US, in fact, in all the years I have been reading and posting here, this is the first report of that I can remember seeing.

Phone number in the US and Canada are 10 digits. That one is 12 digits. No phone number in the North American Numbering Plan can start with a 0 or a 1 in either the area code (first 3 digits) or the prefix (second three digits). That could have easily been found on the internet as well. I just ran that number through both Yahoo and Google. Yahoo brought up no results and Google brought up this thread.

Where does the area code 435 come from? (+1435 / 0111435 / 001435, United States of America). The prefix 435 is the area code for Utah

If your guess was any good, the US number would be 435-572-092.  This still a digit short of being a US or Canadian phone number.

The number is apt to be spoofed. Calls from this number might be from just about anywhere in the world. It is more useful to regulars and readers to have some info about the nature of the call (the pitch of the alleged scam), than it is to assign the call as coming from a country or region.  See my post of 9 December.  If you have anything along those lines, please post it.

What was said? Was a thing or a service offered or being sold? Those details are helpful.
