Got a call from a non-english gentleman purporting to be a law firm in Manchester - asking me to confirm that I had had a motoring accident within the last three years.  I asked where the information had been obtained from but all he would say was that it was from a national database.  He was very persistant in demanding an answer. I refused to answer but asked for the name of the company he was phoning from.  He asked why I needed to know - I told him to report the company - his answer was "no way", and he cut the call.

Got call from 00177 number at 13.00 today.

00177 called Saturday at noon, hung up when I answered without any chat

Caller spoke with a pronounced foreign accent.  Claimed to be a BT Engineer, but didn't appear to know my name so I ended the conversation and hung up.

Received unsolicited call from 00177, I answered, as I normally do, politely, the line was silent so I said "Please speak or I shall hang up" and the line stayed silent so I hung up. Most annoying and frustrating that the technology available allows people and companies to sell information to corporations which, in attempting to profit, annoy.

Called today telling me that "our head office has been receiving reports that your internet is under attack", I laughed and was told "it's no laughing matter madam, your internet will be off in 30minutes"... won't be holding my breath...

Keep getting calls allegedly from talk talk asking me to open my laptop and using the windows and R keys it opens up a box and that I should type in code eventvwr this would then stop malicious downloads and improve my reception don't do it this actually lets these people access your files.One of the numbers used 001773551732 Asian voices.

001775856219 - Asian sounding guy with a poor command of English "Want to speak to home owner!".......oh dear that's not going to happen my friend, bye bye.

Voice recording stated that £600 had been taken from my visa card and if I did not authorise the transaction press 1. I promptly hung up the phone.
