Got a call today from this number on our HOME number saying they were from Halifax bank and they were querying a payment request from our current account for £6oo, but they didn't address us by our name???. We rang off and contacted the bank fraud number and they confirmed there was no query recorded on their screen. They said it was probably a scammer ringing random numbers on the off chance of catching someone out and we had done the right thing ringing the bank on our MOBILE not the house phone, as the scammers sometimes stay on the line keeping it open and then make out when you ring your bank to check they are your bank you have rang.
