00222

Got a call asking for my bank details ??

Oh! Me too, Someone calls me Today that number is 002222.

It has just happened to me.  I picked up, heard nothing on the other end for about ten seconds and then it hung up.

Calling me today every 30 mins. Just getting the silent treatment so hanging up every time. Where's the SAS when they're needed?  The Country dialling code for this number is Mauritania but it could be physically anywhere. Obviously a scam and the address needs to be hunted down and bombed.

We have had this twice in the last hour, once I put my baby to bed I am unplugging the damn phone. Stupid people have nothing better to do, if they ask me my bank details I'll tell them it's the bank of the queen, Buckingham palace sort code bo.go.ff

They called me last night and this morning! Telling me my home insurance runs out in December! I asked which day it expires and they just hang up! LOL. I'll play them at their own game. I can't imagine it really getting to some people as they just will not stop!

Love to know who they are.

Just received a phone call from this number claiming unless I let them access my pc I would not be able to access my pc from today, told them to B*****R off and hung up I am ex directory and TPS registered but still receive these nuisance calls.

As an 84 years old I am concerned regarding these silent calls from 00222 I get them almost every day.

Same problem getting frequent calls from this number. We do not pick up now if we see 00222. When we started getting these calls it was silent for 10 seconds before going dead. Talk Talk my telephone provider say as its a computer generated call without a full number they cannot assist.

ive had the same number call me several times a day for the last 3 weeks, getting absolutely sick of it. if u find a way to stop them please let me no :(

Shut these people down and fine them, they are extremely annoying.

I am sick to the back teeth with people ringing me from this number about PPI.

I am registered with TPS but still the calls continue.

I would be obliged if you could look into this for me.

Caller: Claimed to be from Windows

Just had call (not the first) from 0222   I let my answering machine pick up the call but no-one left a message.

Have just received a call from 00222 - no-one there, then they hung up.  Very worrying.

This is definitely a hoax and seems to be related to the companies calling to ask you if anyone has suffered a personal injury in the house. The reason there is no-one there when some people pick up is because it is an automated dialler that will only respond to a line when it is connected for more than 3 seconds, if you answer the phone and hang up immediately if no-ones there it won't connect. If you say "Hello" a few times it goes past the time needed to connect and you get an agent, if you answer the phone like a business generally they leave you alone i.e......

"'ello Tony's Pizza how can I be taking your order thank you please. No mate we're a pizza place now do you want a pizza or not?"

It also allows you to get one up on them which is quite satisfying.
