We got a call from this number today and the guy on the other end said it was to do with Windows operating system. I then asked him how he got the number and he hung up! I think he had called the previous month too. I wonder what type of scam this is!

I had a call form this number and an indian sounding man asked to speak to mr or mrs Rosemary. I said no, it's Miss Trickett. He hung up before i could say anything else

Had 2 calls from this number. First one hung up. Kept talking to second one, indian sounding man from 'Windows operating sytem contractors' ?! Wanted me to type in various commands to my pc, I refused and kept questioning  reason. He eventually told me to f#*k off, not very professional. Obviously a scam.

man rang re: problem with windows on laptop. Lied to him and told him that we have no computer.

Got a call from this number today the guy said I had numerous virus on my pc I just hung up

These Indian guys ringing from this number with a scam about windows on your computer. They called me every week for a couple of months earlier this year. I never gave them any details & was never nice to them but they still called back. They stopped when I told them I had traced the call and was reporting it & to expect a visit from the police - they stopped calling - but now they have started again - they are very annoying and pestering to say the least. I just got a call, I asked the dude his name - he wanted to know why I wanted this - he said his name was Rock and then hung up. Clowns - I would love to meet this dude

I just got another call from them and after losing the rag with them last week i told them I run linux and he hung up pretty quick

Nobody from Windows will ever contact you unless you have contacted them first!!

Just had a call from this number....some guy 'working' for 'Global Internet Services'.....he told me I have a problem with my 'Windows Machine' and some 'Unwanted Virus, Spyware, Trojan' and would I please turn on my computer so he could take me through it.....
I said I have no problems and how did he get my number.....he hung up!

was told i was illegally downloading movies? (wish i was that smart) when i asked where he got my number he hung up

Just got a call from them there, an Indian sounding guy named 'Ben' called me asking me something about Sky TV and then something about a mortgage, so I hung up.

Just had a call from a guy calling himself Micheal Watson on this number,he was obviously Indian and started asking me about windows,I'm a novice on the computer so I put the loud speaker on so my friend could hear too, she sussed straight away that it was a scam and told him to stop conning people, he hung up.I also had the same call yesterday from another number , I told the woman to put it in writing and send it to me, she also hung up.I wish some one could find a way to bar these calls as I find them very worrying ( I,m a pensioner ), if they know my phone number what else do they know.

just had a call from this number, this indian guy new my name he asked to verify some information as he was from the world wide web LOL !!! I told him he was trying to scam me and hung up, nice hey i wonder how many people fall for these scams, it must pay to do it otherwise they wouldnt do it, i am sure some elderly people will fall for this scam these people need sorting out !!!!!!!! thieves / scum the lot of them  !!!!!!!

calling 2 and 3 times a day for the last month no reply on the other end   sick off this

Yeah, same thing.  Its always dead at the other end when I pick it up.  There should be some way the authorities can stop these nuisance calls once and for all.

Got a call from this number today and have had same calls around same time for last two weeks.

When I answer it there is no response on the other line - which is a shame as I love winding these people up.

Other point I have noticed that the number is consecutive 00(23456789)0.  That just seems even more odd!

Have so far received 14 calls from this number. They vary sometimes by using - 0234567890 or 00111234567890. When I did answer it is always an Indian voice about serious computer defects. They can be very abusive if you don't agree. Having learnt my lesson, now don't answer and do a 1471 to verify. Always the same.

Can anybody stop this ?

Had many calls from this number and its variants - 0234567890 or 0011234567890 and reported to Ofcom. They are unable to do anything as they are International and have suggested to change type of telephone to monitor who is calling.

Did answer this number about 3 weeks ago and they were adamant that they were Windows people and that I had a serious fault on PC. Offered to help for around $350. Since then asked to go to h***, and so they are taking their revenge by calling up to 25 times a day. This is harrassment

When 'Jamie Lawson' phoned me he gave a fake UK number but really called from this number claiming to be calling from the World Wide Web and asked if I was at my computer and said if I didn't allow them to help me with a problem I would "lose" my computer. I told him if he was phoning from within the UK he was breaking the law (registered with TPS)as he was clearly trying to sell a service, which he denied. I told him he must think I'm an effing idiot and hung up.  

I got a call from this number the line went dead,  no doubt some kind of cold call/ scam ?
